Re: [MC74 and Friends] My Entry for Stripes

Hi BT, MC and PNEH friends

BT, I absolutely love your stripes collage, so cheerful and colorful and your clip is so much fun and creative too! Everybody's contribution is so original with its own unique twist to the stripes theme, and I particularly enjoyed Hien Lan's silk stripes, MC' UN building, Tuan's pregnant zebra, Khanh Liem's impromptu street crossing...

I have been swamped with work, so am rushing to send in my contribution before going to Australia this week end...

The first collage is taken from the Vegas hotel where I stayed overnight to meet with my best MC friend Kim Dung, we spent all our time catching up so I didn't have the chance to walk around to look for more stripes to shoot...

The second collage is a mix of pictures taken in Europe, from a building, pasta dish, to striped coordinated outfits...

Cheers
Caro

  1. Thanks Caro, I am glad you enjoy the making of the stripes video and I love your
collages, the first one very art deco and the second one so fun. I can't figure out
the bottom left photo, are those bows?

Have a safe trip to AU.

  2. Hi BT

The bottom left photo is farfalle, the bow tie shaped pasta. My sis and I had a black & white lunch theme in Paris and prepared a coordinated menu...
Glad you liked the collage... Given time, I'm sure I could have found more stripes!!!

    Cheers

  3. Hi Caro,

Thanks for the collages for stripes. I love the mix of colors and patterns in the Las Vegas collage, and I specially like the photo of the piano stripes (I did not think of it).
The black and white stripes collage is awesome. I love the matching of the stripes of the farfalle with your photos with your sisters.
Thanks also for your nice comment on my UN building photo.

Have a safe trip and nice time in Australia.

  4. Hi Caro,

Your Stripes collages are quite delightful and also very clever. I love how these themes have brought out the creative side in all our pho nhom! Kudos to BT and MC also for thinking up these nice challenges for us.

Are the stripes in the bow tie pasta made of squid ink? I've seen rainbow pasta made of spinach and beet but have never seen such pretty bow tie pasta.

Congrats on doing your Bridge Climb for charity! When I was in Sydney, I wanted to do the Bridge Climb but was discouraged from doing it because of the time involved and because no one else I was with wanted to do it. A missed opportunity...
