Fw: Re: [MC74 and Friends] Re: My entry for our Forum's photos of the week project

Dear Caroline, Em Ci and friends,

Hope this will bring you a tiny bit of joy and delight especially if it's all white and grey out there in your neck of the woods :-)

Re: [MC74 and Friends] Review from Caro

Hi friends
The last few posts were all great and conveyed so many different moods, Hy Hoa's composition is artistic and pensive, Son's Life is Good to me represents a self realization that no matter how bad things could be, there are simple joys to delight us, Mai Chau's 42nd photo is electryfing and high energy, and Quang with the bowl of pho represents a moment of anticipation about craving to be fulfilled...

A Kodak moment: Mr Kodak himself (his idea) with his inseparable bowl of pho.

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My entry for our Forum's photos of the week -- A Kodak Moment

Hello everyone,
I came across an old picture I took long ago of our daughter
Olivia/Huong Giang and her grandpa (She was 3 at the time, she's 16
now). I call it "ÔNG va CHÁU", a variation on the "younger vs older
generations" theme. Isn't the contrast between her cherubic face and
P-A's dad's face interesting? I wish the resolution was better but it
was a long time ago.
Amities,
Triet

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My entry for our Forum's photos of the week -- A Kodak Moment

Like Caro, I seem to have missed a lot of pictures and emails this past week. In my case however, it's not due to travel to some far away destination but rather from the misery brought on by the typical Virginia winter: snowstorm, traffic gridlock, downed trees, and power outage that lasted for days, which meant no warmth, no water, and no hot food! Maslow's hierarchy of needs clearly at work in my case...

Thanks for the Pho Nhom blog that BT put together and the power of speed reading, I was able to catch a glimpse of some lovely photos, from MC's gorgeous rainy NY pictures to Caro's paradisiacal scenery of Bora Bora. I especially love Thuan's picture of his daughter, what a cute little girl!

Thank you all also for sharing your music and YouTube links. I enjoy listening to them all whenever I can steal a moment. And yes, even the Che Linh one, dear TNS!

To contrast with the colorful Tet pictures from CA, VN, etc., I'm sharing with you a picture of the recent snowstorm chez nous.

Dear Bi Ti, Quang and fellow MCP74 photographers :-)

Here are my two entries. I know we are supposed to send in just one, but the first carries my wish to all Forum members (thay cho loi\ chu'c dda^\u Xua^n :-)) and the second one is my entry for the week under the theme "whatever captured our eyes, on the spot".

A little footnote to my first photo which I would like to give the title "nhu*ng ca'nh chim se? dda^\u Xua^n".
OK, here is the story: I was walking with Mai Han earlier this afternoon, I saw a few birds resting on the electric wires. As I was going to take a picture, I saw some more coming, I counted quickly: there was exactly eight. And then suddenly one more joined the group, but our number 9 decided to be the superstar, so he or she posed by itself on the lower wire. As soon as I finished with my pictures, they all flew away. It was as if they came to pose for me, so I could send their photo to you as a wish for a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year.

My second picture is entitled Hoa no*? tre^n tuye^'t :-). These huge bright fake flowers in front of my local Library caught my eyes yesterday, so I took a picture. Ke.t qu'a ne^n no^p. ddai. cho ban giam' khao? Quang, co' the^? hoang tu*o*ng? la\ hoa thu*o*c du*o*c du*o*c kho^ng?

.Here's a shot I took in Bora Bora, loved the purple water lilies, the gold fishes and the reflection of the coconut trees in the water...

to snap ... a photo that is:-)  ... isn't it the theme for this week Quang?

It's been raining in my corner of the world ... so I got  inspired by the rain chain :-)

Who can find the rain drop?  It took me many many tries...
