More stripes

Dear Em Ci, Mr Kiu and PNEH friends,

As an OSA (official stripe addict) I just gotta submit more entries for the theme :-)

So here we go:

1.  Mains sales sur un T shirt raye'  (that is the name of the lithograph
I can't part with). Can you see the mains sales? :-)

2.  Bleu Blanc (two of my favorite colors captured throughout the years)
Who can guess what's the bottom pic? and last but not least

3.' I luv les pays basques ' for obvious reasons no? :-) I thought these displays of sardines, marquereaux, friandises, et piments in St Jean de Luz give great striped visions :-) just in case Doc Awake thinks that's a stretch :-)

Have a great WE, send them in if you have more stripes !!

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My Entry for Stripes

Hi BT, MC and PNEH friends

BT, I absolutely love your stripes collage, so cheerful and colorful and your clip is so much fun and creative too! Everybody's contribution is so original with its own unique twist to the stripes theme, and I particularly enjoyed Hien Lan's silk stripes, MC' UN building, Tuan's pregnant zebra, Khanh Liem's impromptu street crossing...

I have been swamped with work, so am rushing to send in my contribution before going to Australia this week end...

The first collage is taken from the Vegas hotel where I stayed overnight to meet with my best MC friend Kim Dung, we spent all our time catching up so I didn't have the chance to walk around to look for more stripes to shoot...

The second collage is a mix of pictures taken in Europe, from a building, pasta dish, to striped coordinated outfits...

Cheers
Caro

Hi MC, BT, and PNEH friends,

Sorry for the last-minute submissions. Similar to what MC did, I went to bed early, woke up, and realized to my horror today is the deadline and I hadn't done anything yet to fulfill my duties, including nhac kheo a la MC, euh I mean doi no. So thank you MC for the reminder, and if you all can stand a few more pictures of evening/nightime, here are my entries for this theme.

- Nighttime Ferry at Binh Khanh
- Pool at Freedom Plaza (in DC)
- Sunset over Hamilton Island (Queensland)
- Forever Brodard

Thank you all for sharing your pictures, I've enjoyed looking at them even if I didn't have time to send comments during the day. Some stood out vividly in my memory, from yellow road stripes, colorful silk stripes, blue striped flags, purple striped eggplants (notice a theme I like? Stripes!), to adorable baby blue eyes, and a beautiful winter scene of street lamps, even if I can't remember exactly whose entries they were. With my email account at 95% capacity, I've had to delete emails with attachments as soon as I look at them and empty my trash frequently, so as not to bog down my account. I should really clean out my email but just haven't had the time to do so and keep falling further behind with each passing day.

I will be away this weekend but hopefully will try to be more timely with next week's theme.

Subject: [MC74 and Friends] Entry for stripes

Dear Biti, Emci and friends,

Please allow me to submit the photo of my niece with blue eyes for your "Stripes" theme .

You can see the stripes on her dress and on the bag behind her :) but mostly I'd like for you to see her blue eyes and her adorable face.

And for those of you who wonder, both her parents are Vietnamese and no, my sister in law did not.... fool around with the mailman :))

It is somehow a miracle of the gene pool but we certainly love it !

[MC74 and Friends] My entry for SUMMER

Here and there in Balboa Island, CA.

[MC74 and Friends] MY ENTRIES FOR STRIPES

DEAR  MC , TRANG  ,  BT  AND  FRIENDS
HERE  ARE  MY  ENTRIES  FOR  STRIPES :  1/ SILK  STRIPES    2/  STRIPES   IN  THE  MAIN  STREET  OF  NHA  TRANG  , ESPECIALLY  FOR  MAI  CHAU  AND  BICH  THANH   ........    BIZ    HL   ( SORRY  KHANH  LIEM ,  I  TOOK  YOUR  IDEA  ,  BUT  THE  VIEW  IS  SO  BEAUTIFUL  THAT  I  CAN  NOT  RESIST  .....)

My dear twin BiTi, fellows PNEH, painters, poets. official art critic,

After announcing the theme STRIPES, I thought so hard to come up with my entries, that I started seeing stripes everywhere, even when I closed my eyes. It was quite crazy, all those swirly stripes, twisting and dancing in my mind :-)
So here are the results (I am sending them in separate emails because of the sizes)

Photo no. 1: from my archives, flags stripes in Brussels.

Photos no. 2 and 3: I saw stripes on eggplants and zucchinis when I went food shopping on Sunday.

Photo no. 4: I even saw stripes this morning when I stood at the top of the steps above Ralph Bunche Park, and looked down on the UN building on 1st Avenue. From far, with some imagination, the glass building seemed to have horizontal stripes. And without the need for imagination, one could see the stripes on the street. Finally with the help of magnifying glass, you may be able to see some stripes on the flags :-).

Photo no 5: I saw more stripes, on the foliage,  when I took a stroll at lunch time at Tudor City Park.

More stripes to come, as I keep dreaming about them :-). Just blame my twin BiTi, if my striped entries make you feel dizzy :-)

Good night from Be^n Bo*\ So^ng

[MC74 and Friends] My Entry for Stripes

Dear Em Ci and PNEH friends and Mr. Official Art Critic,

Here's my entry for Stripes and as a bonus :-) a youtube
montage on how they came about yesterday while I listened
to one of my favorite singer Aaron Neville.

Hope you enjoyed it:

Dear Thuy Hoa,

Thank you for your sweet compliments, as you can see
I have lots of hobbies ... but no training what so ever in
cooking or photography or metteur en scene :-) everything
is just for fun!

Cheers,
BT

[MC74 and Friends] My Entries For the Theme: "Evening"

Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,

Here are my entries for this week's theme" "Evenings"

1. "Evening" : The treeline is like a collection of hands reaching for the evening sky...
2. "Moonlit Neighborhood": Didn't plan this but somehow the moonlight gave the whole picture an interesting blue tint.
3. "Nuit De Gare": Our little town's train station at night. For this, I did get some tips for night shooting from my daughter Olivia, who took a photo course at school.

Enjoy.

Amities,

Triet

Re: [MC74 and Friends] my entry for Summer

Dear all,

I am "bi'" on "Stripes" and "Night", so will stay with Extended Summer for now. My extended summer entries do not contain charm and beauty like Thuy-Hoa's, luxury indulgence like Caro's, peace and serenity like KLiem's, joy and friendship like BLan's, are not of professional quality like TNS's, Tuan's, BiTi's, EmCi's, HienLan's,  among many others...rather they show scorching summer heat, literally and figuratively -:). These are pictures of Southern California beaches, summer 2011.

And to stay tune for the summer theme,
attached are my 2 entries very very ...Swiss !

Enjoy,

2nd one:  Zoel at his younger age
3rd  one:  You all know  !

Have a nice sunny monday,

BL

RE: [MC74 and Friends] Stripes theme

Awesome entries, Spectacular as usual  Tuan oi !!!  every picture of your collection  somehow tells a story
that we could all relate to !!  Beautiful work of art!!
Congrats  Tuan and all the PNEH MC team!

Dear BT, MC, Mr Kiu, Thuy-Hoa, Caro, Belan, Phuong, Trang, TNS, BeDiep, TChau, Thuan, Triet, Doug, Duc,
KimHuong, THuong,  Tuan, AiMy, Khiem-Hien,  CTT, all PNEH  & all Friends,

To follow Tuan’ foot step, I went out to look for some “stripes” this afternoon   -   the Pho-nhom VN  gang  in the OC area call it
“ Đi săng hình”  ( picture hunter ) – sounds very funny…
Luckily I saw this little girl who‘s waiting to cross the street with her Dad next to me… Wow!!! Quickly, I took my camera out of the bag
& took some pictures …

Here it is my “stripes” photo  for the new theme  this week,
I hope that it would agree with the “stripes”  theme that our Triplet MC, BT & Trang had in mind.
(I enhance the yellow color to make it more “stripes”)

Have a wonderful new week  my dear MC Friends !!!!
Cheers from Liem

[MC74 and Friends] my entry for Summer

Dear twin BiTi, fellows PNEH, hoa si~, thi si~ and official art critic

Here is my entry for the extended Summer theme.
It is entitled Sun salutation in Bryant Park. I took these photos on the same day, same time, and at the same place (Bryant Park on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street),  where I took the photos of the Sunbrellas.

Quang, if you have time on Thursday evening and want to try yoga on the grass, you should join the crowd in Bryant Park. It seemed like a lot of fun.

Goodnight
