  3. Thanks, but I wish I don't have to drive 10 minutes . The Redskins owner lives nearby. He cut a dozen small trees to get a clear view of the river out of ignorance . The park authority fined him 500000 for each tree he cut and he has to replant the trees . They are still not satisfied .Even we lived here for a long time, we just recently found out about the park about 5 years ago . It is a well hidden place, but with GPS , one can get to it really quick , it is surprisingly very close to the beltway . It has 3 very interesting Billy Goats hiking trails which bring you to the water bank . Trail A is quite challenging . It has steep wall rock to climb, it is not recommended for our age . Trail B and C are much nicer . For lazy bump like me, I stick to the towpath as you have seen in the pictures along the canal .
From this same river somewhere else, I used to catch a lot of big catfishes the size of my leg . I brought home to my mom and ask her to cook it. She told me it is not like vietnamese catfish, too big , too fat, too slimy , very tedious to prepare. Worst of all, it does not smell and taste like Vnese catfish We finally have to get rid of it and I never bring home the Potomac catfish again .
    Have a great day,
    Thang
