It was a good thing that you didn't know that I already sent this Tony Bennett and Juane's version of the song to BiTi for the diapo, otherwise, we wouldn't have your entry :-) I happen to like this version the most too.

ReplyDeleteThank you. The poem was inspired by BiTi's pics of the crane. The thought of that crane had stuck in my head ever since BiTi sent out the first pic a while back. Perhaps because we usually see cranes in large flocks or in pairs, seeing just the one reminds me of separation - the inevitability of it and the heartbreak that comes with it.
