Dear talented pho nhom, painter, caricature artist, and friends,
Such an imaginative, creative, and artistic group you are. I truly enjoyed viewing your works and reading all the witty stories. Here’s my attempt to be a small part of this fun endeavor.
I had the immense pleasure and good fortune of sitting next to a dear friend from 3eme during Tet Tan Mao party in O.C. this past weekend. During those yesteryears, we were called and teased by our friends, as brother and sister. If you can imagine very hard, me about 40 years younger and with a lot more hair, there may be some similar facial traits between us. I admit, it’s a stretch.
Unfortunately, life is so NOT fair. Fast forward to today. While any residual resemblance to her and hair of mine are long gone, she seems to be untouched by time. She not only hasn’t changed, but manages to even look lovelier, more attractive, ma.(n ma` duye^n da’ng and no doubt a sweet Valentine to many of her friends now as she was then.
Naturally we had a wonderful time conversing and reminiscing the good ol’ time all the while I can’t stop staring at her. Suddendly, a Kodak moment ! With her consent, here she is as my entry to this week’s Valentine picture collection.
Hi Sis, I hope you enjoyed the evening as much as I did.
Happy Valentine to all !
Cay Ti Xi

Hello Khiem
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute, charming story, of the everlasting friendship that grew and knew no bounds, so well narrated by a great photographer
with a gift for storytelling
With a fascinating coverbook that screamed for attention, there was no telling how intriguing it could be !
And what an introduction, a fanfare of an entrance, filled with glitter and glamour, if not "Bling Bling",
that no doubt left plenty to the imagination, as to the identity of the mysterious Lady
Certainly a prelude of more interesting things to come, enough to fill the air with suspense, and romance,
worthy of many thrilling Harlequin romance novels :-)

Hello Cay Ti Xi,
ReplyDeleteOnce more, I agree with BiTi. Very artistic and beautiful presentation too! Your entry looked like one of those photography spreads for Bazaar.
Perhaps you want to consider moonlighting as a fashion photographer ...for the Forum ladies :-)?; all the pictures you took so far, from the ladies at the New Year Party, to the lady in red, to the Moschino model, to this one, looked like they came out of those high-fashion spreads.
I also enjoyed your story - up' u'p mo*? mo*? , ra^'t u* la\ hap^' da^n :-).
I almost was going to call Quang and offer him mo^t chau^\ pho*?, to confirm my guess on the identity of your sister and Lady Valentine.
But I found the clue myself, which confirmed my guess!
Dear Cay Ti Xi, la^\n sau co' dau^' ddau^\ thi\ nho*' ddu*\ng dde^? loi\ dduo^i nhe' :-)
So here is my question: is there a prize for the correct guess?
If not, is there a prize for keeping the secret to let others make their guess? :-)
Goodnight
from be^n bo*\ so^ng

Hi dear Khiem 1/4 aka Cay Ti Xi ( tai sao lai goi là Cay Ti Xi -may be Mr Kodak Quang can you explain? )
ReplyDeleteWHO is the gorgeous girl ? Suspense...
Beautifull colors, composition and pris sur le vif subject Khiem ,the model must be very inspirited !The colors of the jewels and the shirt remind me the Bulgari exhibition I saw in December in Paris ( 650 master pieces from the famous italiener jeweler through a century ) Bulgari used to wear famous actress ( Liz Taylor, Ingrid Bergman, Ana Magnani , Grace Kelly...) with his multicolors jewerlies and diamonds , so did you with your photo and souvenirs from inalterable beauty and friendship on the MC banc d 'école
So allow me for another nick name for you " Khiem photographe des stars "( et starlettes )
Have you not writing " can stop starring at her, untouched by time ... " ( j/k) So romantic !
Amitiés
