More bird pictures for your viewing pleasure.
Speaking of birds, it reminds me of the song "Free bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Great song and the solo at the end of the video is one of the best I've ever heard.
Free Bird (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
Cause there's too many places
I've got to see
But, if I stayed here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird, you cannot change
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
And the bird you cannot change
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change
Bye, bye, baby it's been a sweet love
Yeah, yeah
Though this feeling I can't change
But please don't take it so badly
Cause the Lord knows
I'm to blame
But, if I stayed here with you girl
Things just couldn't be the same
Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird, you cannot change
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
And this bird you cannot change
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change
Lord help me, I can't change
Lord I can't change
Won't you fly high, free bird, yeah?
Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
Cause there's too many places
I've got to see
But, if I stayed here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
Cause I'm as free as a bird now

Hi Son,
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots and framing, I like the profile of the solitary bird and
it's striking orange beak and the trio reminds of the the triplets
of belleville :-)
Cheers,
BT
Hi Son,
ReplyDeleteI like the way the bird is slightly off-center in the first picture, and as BT said, its orange beak is striking amid the blurred blue background. And the framing on both pictures is very creative as well.
I think Freebird is probably the greatest rock anthem of all time, and my rock 'n roll sensibility has always tended toward the Southern rock sounds of bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, CCR, R.E.M., and more recently 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, etc. So thank you for sharing the link to the video, which I enjoyed but reminded what a great loss the key band members' deaths were to the music world.

Hello Son
ReplyDelete2 interesting looks at birdies, in their natural habitat
A real life adaptation of Lonesome Dove enjoying his, her solitary walk
along a quiet beach, in a reflective, yet puzzling mood
In sharp contrast, soaring sky high above it all, in the deep blue skies,
a tale of companionship brought to life, that proved good things came in three, while conjuring up the beautiful imagery of the free spirit, at its visual best
The framing of the 2 pictures couldn't be more eye catching, if not seductive

Hi TNS,
ReplyDeleteIt must be your lucky day, 'cause here comes the comment from the third triplet.
I specially love the first photo with the funny looking bird, standing alone with his shadow, on the beach, and looking a little absent-minded, or thinking about -god knows what :-), and behind it, a blurry background of water and waves. I also like your unexpected choice of color for the frame, electric blue, a perfect color to show off the muted tone of the picture, at the same time counterbalance the bright orange beak.
I like your photo of BiTi, Trang and me spreading our wings; great shoot, good timing. The window frame is also well chosen.
Thanks for your additional contributions.
Goodnight from Be^n Bo*\ So^ng

Hello BT, MC, Trang and Quang,
ReplyDeleteThat lonesome bird in the first picture was not really lonesome. Right after I took that photo, another bird swooped in and they both flew away in a blink of an eye. I could not react fast enough to snap another photo. You see? Coi vay ma khong phai vay! :=) Oh yeah, I could visualize the beautiful and talented triplets in the second picture - from left to right: Bao Tram, Mai Chau and Trang. Hey BT, anything special on Monday (your birthday) that you can talk about? :=) Today is Mai Chau and Trang birthday, hope you are having a great day and that this year is full of health, happiness, and love.

I am glad that you like my pictures and frames. Your compliments make my day. Please don't "khen" me too much because I'll submit more entries, thus the blog executives may have to do more than one collage. Phie^`n la('m!
Goodbye from xa bie^?n ma` ga^`n cho*.
