Hi Caro, Thanks for your great entries from the Huntington Library and the Museum in Germany . They are undeniably pointy and so interesting. The ones on the left look like syringes. MC
As witty, and funny the question was, the instantaneous reaction was even better, simply hilarious ;-)
Thanks for lighting up the forum, on a quiet Friday night, when "Linsanity", the perfect storm, cooled down somewhat, with the New York Knicks losing tonight, after a hot streak and 7 consecutive wins Quang
Isn't it funny that MC came closest to the answer, while BT, you and I too all guessed pastry-related gadgets? Also interesting that there's such variety in sizes. From now on, whenever I say to myself (in a totally uncharitable lapsed-Buddhist moment), "he's an even bigger a-hole than I thought," there's Exhibit A from a museum in Germany to back that up! M-U
Although I really don't want to visualize the procedure, I would assume that the size would depend on how severe the symptoms were, here's some add'l information that I googled....
Hi HI Hi , M.U. OI , NOW IT ' S MY TURN TO LAUGH OUT LOUD ! I ' M TRYING TO GET YOUR UNCHARITABLE LAPSED- BUDDHIST MOMENT ! Hi hI HOW MC CAN COME SO CLOSE TO THE ANSWER ? BIZZZ HL
HL and little sis How I came so close? 1) I am not a gourmet cook so have no idea what cooking instruments other than basic pot and pans, spatulas and chopsticks, look like 2) my simple mind usually just goes for the obvious, hi hi. I thought the instruments look so similar to syringes, so made a wild guess that they are syringes. Have a wonderful Sunday Mc
EmCi, My theory was that, having run into enough [ahem], you kinda suspected what these instruments were for, but you were way too well brought up to say that to Caro. :-P M-U
