My entry for this week's theme (Simple pleasures). I took this photo quite some time ago. Earthy, unpretentious things found on the ground, simple beauties one sees almost everyday, indeed.

Poppies, Thanh Tu? I don't even know their name. Xui' ong Hoi Truong CNC xu*.c poppies, coi chung nghien^. cai khong duoc!
ReplyDeleteThey bring to mind rows of windmills seen in Nordic movies. A befitting allegory to the dauntless intellectuals in Vietnam, for their valiant and tenacious non-violent efforts in turning the windmill of democracy. Fragile but upstanding, blossoming under the sun.
