Hi BT, BL, CTT, TNS, KL, Thg, Caro TD
Your entries are so interesting, I love the variety, different interpretations of the theme, the personal touch, the quirkiness... everything! Thg's paintings are always a delight, deceptively simple yet so expressive...
Here are my 3 entries - Hope you'll enjoy them
Caro
The first one was taken in the Barcelona market - there were all sorts of eggs, from ostrich, goose, duck, poultry, quail, you name it! It was just amazing
The second entry : Assorted egg shaped pumpkins, hand decorated with famous scenes from Chinese literature, from the Monkey King, to the Three Kingdom...
My last entry is one of my favorite snacks "Son in law Eggs" which I serve with a sauce made with tamarind juice, nuoc mam, fried shallots, crushed peanuts and lots of coriander... Just delicious! For large parties, you can make this dish with quail eggs too...

Thanks Caro, what an assortment of eggs you have for us
ReplyDeletethis week. I love them all. How do you make son-in-law
eggs and any idea why it's called that? :-)
BT
Caro NH,
ReplyDeleteLes oeufs par ta caméra prennent une allure follement glamour,
si les 1ers sont lumineux, les 2nds sont artistiquement
intéressants dans le magnifque bol, les 3èmes donnent faim.
Bravo.

Dear Caro:
ReplyDeleteOMG! It’s very interesting to see all varieties of egg-shapes on the display at the Barcelona market!
(it reminds me of my dear cousin – who is also a cousin of Ai-Phuong & Ai-My – his name is Hien-Huy,
Who showed me a whole collection of different shapes of Eggs at his family farm @ Dalat, when I was about 12 years old,I was astonish by these wonderful things! – I don’t know if Ai-Phuong & Ai-My had seen that collection or not- at Ant Phan-Xung’s farm)I could imagine that you are a good cook Caro, the 3rd photo makes me so hungry; it’s could be shown at “Food & Wine” magazine
Thank you for sharing such wonderful photos!
Cheers from Liem
Hello Caro
ReplyDeleteWith Easter already upon us, a taste of spring in the air, amid a very beautiful, bright, warm Sunday
3 visually exciting, pretty pictures to lift our spirits, and brighten our days
An assortment of cute looking eggs, on full display, in the marketplace in Barcelona, captured so vividly under the illuminating light
An artsy, platefull of egg shaped pumpkins, so well hand decorated, subtly illustrated with a dab of history
A saucy, savory tasting looking dish, craftly named "Son in law Eggs", so appetizing as to whet an instant appetite,
even for those with the most demanding, discriminating tastes
Have a Happy Easter, Everyone, wherever you are !!!!
