[MC74 and Friends] Contrast

Dear friends

For contrast, I am sending the 2 pictures in Vegas with old and new characters; contrasting architecture designs and colors that would not be accepted in your Home Association CC&R.
The 3rd one is the man walking among gigantic poupees russes at the Russian exposition at the Grand Palais in Paris June 2010.

  1. Thanks Tua^n' for your contributions which illustrate so well the theme Contrasts. My favorite one is the beautiful poupees russes photo.

  2. Hello Tuan

3 very fun pics that highlighted the theme Contrast,
each with its own distinctive appeal

    1) a rare sighting of Elvis in his signature outfit,
in a close encounter of the weirdest kind
with Darth Vader, of all remote possibilities,
in a twilight zone of sort, where the colorful past met the dark future

    2) a vision of the familiar NY skyline, set in a different time zone,
an architectural world of contrast in the sizes, shapes, colors
of the iconic buildings or monuments

    3) probably, the most visually exciting sight, in a surreal, fantasy filled place,
a whimsical clash of styles, appearances of its occupants,
the human species seemingly lost, shadowed in the land of giants,
in a theatrical remake of Valley of the Dolls, Russian style

  3. Tuan, I also love your poupees russes entry. At first I was wondering where the contrast was until I scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the picture and saw the teeny tiny man walking under the towering Russian dolls. Very cool!
