Hello everybody
HL, your 1st photo with the shadows is so artistic and beautiful! BT, Cowland is so fertile with greaet photos ops, MC, Liem, Tuan, Son and friends, love all your entries of various buildings, architecture...
I had a rough week in Hong Kong, landed at 6 am and was in a meeting from 9 am till midnight (including dinner) and I came down with the flu but still had to attend all the business events for the whole week, feel pretty terrible...
Leaving today to India.
Here's my geometric entries taken during a dinner function in HK...
Cheers
Caroline

Caro,
I love the first shot; the words "restrained passion" popped up in my head when I saw it.
P.S.: My pathological need for symmetry would have caused me to adjust that middle bottle and, thereby, totally ruined the artistry.:-)

Hi Caro,
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better already, so you could fully enjoy the leisure part of your trip.
Thanks for thinking about the blog (and us? :-)) despite your busy schedule and the flu.
The results are all gorgeous, and I specially love the first one. Once more your photos are proof of your fertile creativity and acute sense of observation.

Hi Caro,
ReplyDeleteBummer, I hope you feel well soon for your trip to India. Now I remember
why I didn't like business trips :-)
I love the wine bottles rack with the red lighting, and I am curious as the
beautiful gourmet dish, are those square blocks sandwiches served
with jellos (what kind?) Do share so we can vicariouly enjoy them too and
maybe try to recreate them in our own kitchen one day :-)
bzzz

Hello MU, BT, MC, HL & Quang
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. My shots were taken at a Chinese restaurant in the Peak Tower, where there was a commanding view of Victoria harbor in Hong Kong. But since I was not feeling well, I did not go on the terrace to take photos. The entrance of the restaurant was lined up with red back-lit wine racks, very striking looking. The cube dish was a duo of jellies, one made from dried flowers and dates, and the other with "thousand layers".
Our first day in India was interesting, I do feel a bit better, luckily, but I'll tell you more about it later
Cheers everybody
Caro
