Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entries for extended spring

Dear Bi twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

Here are more entries for the Extended Spring theme, taken this afternoon. Tulips and Hoa xuan are my own cay nha la vuon. The rest of the photos were taken in my neighbors' backyard. I was lying on the grass to take photos of the cherry blossoms that fell on the ground, when the wind blew over the branches, and a shower of petals came down, as I looked up. It was an awesome sight, but  I could only capture a little bit of it, so you really need a magnifying glass to see some petals in the air.

Goodnight and have a fun-filled Sunday

  3. I like all of them too, esp. the 2nd and 3rd ones. The contrast between the light and dark in the second picture is mesmerizing, and the 3rd pic is pure loveliness with the vivid shades of pink and purple contrasting with the soft green in the background.

  5. Big sis,
Yup, #2 has my vote as well.
But you really must stop rolling around in the grass in your neighbor's yard.

  7. Hello Mai Chau

It must be so satisfying to see a pure labor of love,
the joy of gardening, bear fruition with gratifying results

Such an eye pleasing, lovely picture of the blueberry plant,
a soothing, green vision in full bloom, quite in tune with the
    spring season well under way

One perfect example of how a simple pleasure could bring so much joy and happiness into one's daily life

Especially on a dark, cold, rainy Sunday in New York, when the
sky was cloudy, blistering wind howling, dripping rain putting on a chilling damper on an otherwise promising Spring weekend

    1. Hello Quang,
Thank you for your lovely comment.
My guess is you spent the day checking the weather then going back to bed :-). Well, lucky you! I was out of the house since 7am and did not get home till almost 8pm. To be under the blanket on a rainy and cold day like today is more than a simple pleasure, it's the ultimate one.

  11. Hello Mai Chau
Quite lovely a sight, the beautiful pictures that captured the essence of Spring, with all its natural charm

Especially, the captivating, seductive "light in the shadow",
a compelling study in contrast of light, shadow and reflection,
that brought into focus the flowery subject with clarity and sharpness,
as to give it an artistic appeal

Equally interesting, visually, the pretty images of Hoa Xuan in harmonious colors, soft pink, lavender, drifting and swaying gently
    in the afternoon sunlight
