Fw: [MC74 and Friends] PNTH Entry for Markets

Dear PNTH Friends:

Attached are photos taken at a Himalayan Farmer's market. Most of the fruits and produce are imported from India to this land locked country.

  1. Thank You for the stunning photos KPN, the fruits must cost an arm and a leg for
them. My favorite is the hanging 'thing' (what are they? do you know?)

The hanging things are Yak cheese pieces. Since this unprocessed cheese is very hard, the local people would chew them instead of using them for cooking. The Bhutanese people eat cheese and chilies as their basic daily food. About the fruits, I was told they can grow apples but most of their fruits and produce are imported from India.

    Have a good WE.

  4. Thanks KP for your gorgeous and exotic images of a Bhutanese market. My favorites are the photos of the hanging Yak cheese pieces (I love the composition and the blurry and colorful details in the background), the fruits and veggies (the lighting and colors are beautiful) and also the sepia picture with the red and orange color accents.
