The first entry is my little sis's M-U poem on HAND and my attempt to illustrate her verses.
As my little sis got to call the shot (believe it or not, it has always been that way ever since she was old enough to express what she wanted - I still remember vividly those sentences "nhu*o*ng\ em" , "em no' be'...." :-):-):-), I had to give her a few choices. I also had to endure many sarcastic remarks from Chuong who reluctantly modeled for me (Mom! Seriously, you need to step up your game. How many times you need to take a picture of my little finger? You know this is why you were not able to take a good picture on the streets, you have to know what you are doing and do it fast....).Finally I got the photos I needed, made two collages and presented to my little sis. Of course the version I liked better, she rejected. So I am submitting it here as my own entry :-)
Have a restful Sunday evening and a wonderful upcoming week.

Hello Mai Chau, Mai Uyen
ReplyDeleteJust seems like being and staying "Em No' Be'" does have its own
advantage, that should be put to good use, even to this day :-)
Kidding aside, such an entertaining cooperation by the Mai Sisters,
a joint effort of 2 great minds, a very creative, poetic take on
Hands, the Hand Poem, an articulate, skillful sleight of hand with its own set characters seemingly playing out on a small stage
To illustrate the point, or the underlying message, a very artistic visual illustration of multiple hand projections, living out their fantasies in a somewhat surreal, magical world
Quang
Thank you Mai Quang for your beautiful comment, as always.
