Fwd: [MC74 and Friends] a poem for TEA CUP - Photo Entry

Dear Mai-Chau and Friends:

Thank you for the beautiful poem and illustration. The photo lighting is very artistic. I have a photo I would like to contribute to the Tea Cup theme. It was a shot taken at a farmhouse in rural Bhutan during a home stay, where the hostess served po-cha ( Tibetan butter tea) and ara ( Bhutanese home brew alcohol made from buckwheat - similar to ruou de VN ).

  1. Thank you KP for your generous compliment.

And thank you for your beautiful contribution to the theme TEA CUP. The peaceful atmosphere of the tea serving scene, the gorgeous colors (I love the color of the tea set and also the contrast between her black blouse and the red cookie box), the details in the background, the effect of light and shadow (specially the light on her face) captured by your camera are awesome.

    1. M-U - Yes, I was in Bhutan, the one and only... It was the most wonderful country I know. I like the people most, they seem so happy and content. You can see the portraits on www.pbase.com/kpnrad/bhutan.

  4. KPN,
What a visual treat, thank you for forwarding! I especially enjoyed the Bhutan: The People gallery.
Was it on the way to somewhere else or was Bhutan *the* destination? How much time did you spend there?

  5. M-U - My trip was sooo enjoyable that I lost track of how much time I spent and where. There were many destinations but Bhutan was an especially memorable one. The culture, philosophy and Buddhism really put me in a state of total bliss. ;)
