Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my entries for red and gold

Dear MC,

I fully agree with BT about your collage  and can only say that being sick is useful sometimes.  I love your nakelace, and the way you display your jewelry stand, (also the picture of necklaces  you took for the Geometric shapes theme).
Since the MIA is back, I just might as well submit my entries for Gold & Red.
The first two were taken in Singapore, the buddhas and the pagoda were taken in Taipei. There are more gold and red in Asia than in Switzerland for sure, could not think about anything red and gold around this area !

Hope you feel better MC.

and good night.

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] announcement to PNEHs - theme for next week

Dear MC, BT, Son, Quang, KL, HL, Tuan, Caro, JP and friends PNEH,

All your entries are so artistic and beautiful, I love them all and must admit that "môi nguoi môt. ve, muoi' phân' ven. muoi'".Since the theme Geometric shape is still ongoing, here are my entries taken last summer but fitted perfectly the theme.

Caro oi, hope you feel better and enjoy your trip in India. May be it is the best place to find a lot of Gold & Red for the new theme ?

Enjoy,
BL

More winterscape

Dear fellow PNEH and Friends,

Unlike my Twin I am still stuck in winter :-)

Here's a collage of winterscapes from Dallas (left top) and
Menlo Park (other 3). The persimmon tree - bottom right-
was from mid Dec, it's now bare...  the crows had a
feast.

Cheers,
BT

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my entries for red and gold

Dear Bi Twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang, and Forum friends,

What would a PNEH do when the personcalled in sick but was not sick enough to stay in bed and got bored going in circles in the house?
OK, so this is what happened in my case. I went around the house looking for something red and gold to shoot pictures for our theme RED and GOLD.
I found a bead necklace in red and gold colors given to me by a young Tibetan colleague, then I remembered my twin's suggestion last time she was at my place that I should take a picture of MH's jewelry stand. Eureka! I discovered a few items among Mai Han's collection of necklaces that were perfect as symbols of my wishes to all of you for Te^t' (love, luck, prosperity, success).
So here they are (with thanks to my twin), to open the theme. I think this is the first time I open the show, hopefully it will bring lots of submissions from all PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang, including those who went MIA for quite some time, and who knows, may be new PNEHs, painters and poets :-).

MC

PS: I even tried my twin's chup. xeo' technique which was not easy, I must admit. It took me many attempts... :-)

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Tr: GEOMETRIC SHAPES

Bonjour,

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my additional entries for Geometric shapes

Dear twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

I was never good in geometry back in high school, so it always took me a while to identify geometric shapes, with one exception. When it came to baubles, as in this photo taken at the flea market in Bruxelles, then it took me no time at all to identify the shapes.

However, I did do my geometry homework twice this week. My results were very humble, compared to the spectacular ones submitted by BiTi, KL, HL, Caro, Tuan and TNS. The picture of the little shelter at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 46th street was taken earlier this week, whereas the photo of the wooden bars in the pond was taken this afternoon in Lancaster, PA.

Goodnight

[MC74 and Friends] My entry for the extended theme WINTER

Dear twin, fellow PNEHs , painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

It was sunny and relatively warm in NYC today; so far we did not have any snow here. I guess Ktc's Cowland took all the snow :-).
I went for a walk with my camera to Tudor City Park at lunch time, and here is a collage of some photos taken there
. Winter, what winter? :-)

Goodnight and have a nice Thursday

[MC74 and Friends] My first entry for GEOMETRIC SHAPES 1

Dear twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

Here is my first entry for the theme. As you may recall, my new year resolution does not include work hard; so, unlike my twin, I just looked into my photo folders and found this picture of the front of the Ann Taylor Loft store on 42 nd Avenue which I took a couple of months ago.

[MC74 and Friends] my entries for New Year Resolutions 2

Dear twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang, Forum friends,

Here are the pictures representing my resolutions.
no.1: this picture is self explanatory (or so I hope :-)).
no.2: breathe the air, feel the sun, live and dream, each and every day.

Re: [MC74 and Friends] announcement to PNEHs - Theme for the new year 1

BT, MC,

My New Year's resolution is to not overthink everything.  When something good comes your way - a bit of inspiration, true friendship, luck - just run with it, with the same unquestioning zest we used to have as children - or MC and I used to have, skipping naps and running wild through the grassy area around the first house we grew up in.:-)

So here's my entry.  The background photo is A.Vinh's.

Re: [MC74 and Friends] New Year's resolution (Not any more) 4

Dear Caro, TNS, Hien Lan, Liem and Kim Huong,

I love your new year resolutions, I can relate to all of them except for
HLan's hi hi.

Kim Huong oi, comment as tu fait pour ces beaux galets?

Unlike you and like my Twin I don't have any new year resolution :-)

So I'd like to share with you some winter photos from cowland
city. The last one is obviously not taken by me (so not for the blog) as I
was too busy trying not to fall  from the thing hi hi

And we thought we could stump you ... :-)
