Fw: [MC74 and Friends] gentle reminder to PNEHs re: Summer

Dear MC,

Your  "doi no" is so effective that I've had to stay up to look for summer-themed pictures to submit before the deadline comes and goes. So here are, without further ado, my summer submissions.

As BT said, when it rains, it POURS! I just didn't know where to draw the line, as summer offers limitless opportunities for fun outdoor activities and photo ops. Summer most of all conjures up for me myriad images of beach vacations, blooming flowers, mouth-watering fruits, and lazy days at the pool, so here's an assortment of pics taken over the last few summers that sum up for me what the season is all about:

- Beachgoers at Nha Trang beach
- Blooming Roses
- Sand Castles
- Tree-ripened Figs
etc.

I hope you'll enjoy looking at the pics as much as I've enjoyed taking them!

  1. My dear triplet Trang,
Thanks for staying up to submit these gorgeous entries.
This is the kind of rain that I would not want to stop :-) . One can feel the celebratory mood through your photos. I specially love the way you took the first one with the beach goers in the dark shade against the light background of the blue sky, the sea and the sandy beach, the picture of the dancing queen's toes adorned with the red hibiscus flower, and of course, the one with the gorgeous little girl with the red flower in front of the turquoise pool.

  3. Thank you MC, Caro, and CTT for your nice comments. The first pic is actually a ruined picture because it was taken contre-soleil but I kept it anyway because I liked the effect of the people's silhouettes against the blue water. The little girl with the flower in her hair is my granddaughter Kalyn in her favorite Disney Princesses swimsuit. She's outgrown her Disney Princesses love affair as she's turned 7 and has passed on her love of DP (and her worn DP threads!) to her younger sister Sydni. As the good grandma that I am, everywhere I go, I keep an eye out for DP stuff, from toys to clothes and bedding, and collect them for my next visit with them in CA (currently scheduled for Labor Day weekend - lunch plan BT?).
