Dear All:
Here are 3 pattern entries with a minimalistic approach... :) They were taken somewhere in the Himalayas. Take care and have a great day !

Karl,
ReplyDeleteDo like first 2. Nice shot!
Thanks
Tri'
Thank you KP for sharing these beautiful photos which exude a deeply contemplative, peaceful mood. They illustrate perfectly repetitive patterns in such a special way. There are so many patterns in the photos, yet there is nothing monotonous about them. The colors, lighting, details captured are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMy most favorite are also the first two.
I truly enjoyed your awesome contributions to the blog and do hope that every now and then, whenever your workload and personal obligations lighten up, you will join us as an active participant :-) again.

Hello Phuc
ReplyDeleteSuch intriguing, visually stimulating Pattern pictures,
uncomplicated snapshots that conjured up an evasive yet spiritual atmosphere, in all its lightness
The first picture, the glorious path to enlightment, of sort, was quite interesting, the stark contrast in color, golden handrail and cover in the background against the more subdued earthy tone at the front,
making the entrance view all the more appealing

Hi KPN
ReplyDeleteConcur with Tri & MC, very aesthetic shots!
Caro
Fellow PNs and Friends:
ReplyDeleteTri, MC, Quang, Caro: I really appreciate your truly heart-felt and wonderful input and comments about my pattern entries.
It has always been nice for me to learn from your feedback the last few weeks and also having a lot of fun at the same time. :)
I also hope my next shot will be better than the last... By the time I hit my 10,000th shot, I think I would be more comfortable getting what I really see through my lens and to accurately show the viewers.
Caro - Your pattern entry of the tinted-glass window is so vibrant and harmoniously colored. Your oysters displayed in such an appetizing pattern. Cannot wait to see more.
If you guys and gals don't mind, I will continue peeking in the blog from time to time to share photos and comments. Again thank you for letting me join the PNEH club, now as an inactive member :).
Happy (Camera) Shooting Everybody!
KPN
PS - I have two cheerful entries from the Land of Smiles taken at Loi Krathong some years back to share.
DEAR KPN , I AGREE WITH THE FIRST MUSKETEERETTE ..... VERY NICE PICTURES . I PARTICULARLY LOVE THE FIRST ONE .... THE CONTRAST BETWEEN GREY AND ORANGE COLORS ARE WONDERFUL .....
ReplyDeleteHL
HL - Thanks. I'm glad you like the photo. KPN
ReplyDeleteHi KPN,
ReplyDeleteI agree with everybody :-) I LOVE the colours and textures in the first photo, the framing of the second one with the two woman on the side and the movement in the third. What
are those white flags/banners (?) for do you know?
Thanks for the beautiful and interesting photos,
BT
Hello BT
ReplyDeleteThank you for your input... The flags/banners are prayer flags. The Bhutanese write their prayers on paper or cloth and string them up on poles or wires. They would find a place where the wind would ( spiritually ) send those prayers to Buddha or their protective deities, the locals hang them at bridges, rivers and mountain tops...
KPN
Thanks for the explanation KP. That's a nice tradition.
ReplyDeleteBT
Thanks KP for the explanation, and my twin for asking the question that I meant to ask but forgot (we are not twins for nothing :-)). It is sort of poetic, the idea of using the wind to send the prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks also for your additional cheerful entries for patterns brought to us from the Land of Smile. They are so cool!
MC
I like them all, especially the first one.
