Fw: [MC74 and Friends] theme for next week project - TASTING PLEASURES

Dear Nhi.-Vi. Ba` Chu?, fellow bloggers, PNEH, multi-talented artists:

I know I have been derelict in my weekly contributions to the blog. I do have a few...excuses though, and do hope for generosity in your judgments.

When I got news of the theme "EGGS", quite honestly I was stumped! All I could think of was the double eggs I used to get not too infrequently courtesy my teachers at the lyce'es JJR and MC. To my surprise and delight, the postings on this topic demonstrated our bloggers' superb talent and creativity. I would like to say that I have enjoyed every single contribution made to the blog. I will not cite every name, for I will miss someone, but each and everyone of you are amazing. And hats off to Ms BiTi, who does a superb job each week in putting them all together.

I know it's a bit...late, but hope that my humble entry for "Tasting Pleasures" be accepted by the blog authorities. It's a picture of my sons enjoying their ice cream this past week in Las Vegas with uncle QHung and aunt CNhung, celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary. Or, as QHung would say: 34 nam kho'i lua! It's all in fun, for I must attest this is one of the happiest couple I know, who are still deeply in love with each other. As a bonus entry, I am sending in a picture of the President of the Dior Fan Club for your enjoyment.

Humbly yours,
T.

  1. Hi Thuan,

Great pics of the boys enjoying their ice cream and Mr. QHung in front of the Charlize Theron poster (does that one qualify for the Tasting Pleasure theme too :-)? Looks like you had a grand time in LV and Mammoth, per the pics on FB. Your boys are such cutie pies!

  2. Hello Thuan

Your sons' pic is so adorable... the little one is so cute.
Huong and you must have had a blast in Vegas, in company of QH and CN, when those two are together, you're guaranteed a fun filled time, one would start a joke and the other would end with the punch line, a match made in heaven!

PS: what are your excuses? Let BiTi and me see whether they are valid ones...just kidding.

  4. Hello Thuan

Sometimes in life, more often than not, something is worth the wait

And, certainly it is no different, when it comes to taking a few great pictures,
to remember by, a certain place that leaves an indelible impression, or a memorable moment that stays in one's consciousness

Quite simply, the tasting pleasure put to a test, with a picture fitting the theme to a tee, the unquestionably look of ecstasy, of the 2 charming young men, so happily captured in a moment of utterly bliss

A case in point, proving that simple, tasting pleasure can occur at any moment,
given the right time or place

The second illustration, the quizzingly reflective look of Quoc Hung, the prez of Dior Fan Club, a very lucky man gleefully at peace with himself, through 34 years of trials and tribulations, filled with joy and happiness

  5. Hi Quang, Em Ci and Caro:

You all are quite early risers. You are so right Caro. With QHung, we always have a fun time with lots of laughter. Add CNhung, then it becomes a riot! I never tire of listening to her preaching lo*`i Pha^.t da.y with the Hue accent -:). It was Spring Break week for the children. Huong went to Houston with our daughter to visit her Dad's resting place. I took the boys to Vegas, then for a couple days of late season skiing in Mammoth. The snow is still great. They have so much snow this year.

Thank you all for your nice words. Have a great weekend.

    Thuan
