Re: [MC74 and Friends] theme for next week project - TASTING PLEASURES

My son cooked for me on my birthday that year. The best steak I ever ate.

  1. TNS dear,
One could feel the father you were on your BDay,
the most spoiled and the most loved in the world
with a dish cooked with as much love as this.
It's touching to see all the care Brian brought
in the presentation ( see details) as a great chef !

  2. Hi Son, what for a wonderfull gift ! And specially from your son . A great chief cooker !
You might be very proud and happy ! Love this photo
And the balloons make us remember ... children birthdays

That make me remember that a few days ago, my son - he's 16 and at this age, a bit..... lazy on all things and specially cooking , washing , cleaning... and speaking too, asks me how to make cha? gio ( perhaps to loè ma('t ban ! ) Why do you want to make such difficult cooking, said I, if you want to make cha gio, so we have to roll on more than 50 or 100 pieces ! So I gave him my receipt for canh chua ca' in 15 mn and xôi hat sen in click clack !
Hope he will done it on my next birthday as yours

Tenderness is the best and great gift for parents n' est ce pas !

  3. Hi TNS,
I love your wonderful entry and I agree with BiTi, the balloons frame is lovely. I am not a steak lover, but the way your son cooked and presented it made me want to taste it :-).
I give an A+++ to your entry as the most meaningful one for this week theme (so far :-)).

  5. Hi Son,

Such a lucky Dad you are. I don't think my sons had even boiled an egg for me, ever :-(. They did buy fast food for me occasionally. It's these thoughtful feats from our children, maybe far and few in between, that touch parents deeply and make parenting worthwhile doesn't it? It also confirms that you had done a good job, so congrats to you.
Btw, it's a good picture too Dad.
