Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Announcement to PNEHs - Theme for next week

Dear fellows PNEH, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

Since there are no entries other than from " the 2 chu? song\ bai\"  for this week's theme GRAFFITI, we will not have a new theme this week, to give all PNEHs, MIA or not, time to search for the best graffiti in town to share with us. That means that Caro can now go back to LA to have the best hot dog and take picture of the best graffiti in California, and Hien Lan can run around Palo Alto with BiTi looking for the rest of the trompe l'oeil, and perhaps some Forum friends would like to join in the fun with us PNEHS too, and take pictures of graffiti from wherever they are and send them in.

Here are some graffiti of hot beauties to continue the theme, taken in Amsterdam, where else but the famous Red Light District.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone

My entry for graffiti

Dear Em Ci, fellow PNEH and friends,

I went in search of Greg Brown's murals to shoot this afternoon.
GB is a local artist known for his whimsical trompe l'oeil scattered
all over Palo Alto.  It was like a treasure hunt :-) There are more than
a dozen and I found 3 so far, so here you are:

1. Boys gone fishing (on the side of the Post Office wall)
2. Alien on a spaceship (on the side of CoAmerica bank)
3. Alien in a garbage man's can (at the corner of a street)

I think I'll wait for HLan to go find the rest :-)

I don't know if the last one qualifies as graffiti, it's a drawing of
the future area being reconstructed...

I had fun shooting them and I hope that they will bring you
a bit of the local flavor of my neck of the woods :-)

Have a great weekend,
BT

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Pointy but not so pointy

Dear MC, BT and friends,
Thank you sooo much for your creative inspiration throughout the many pics and collages!
Here are my simple contribution for the pointy theme, they are taken on my last trip to Angkor-Siêm Reap, Cambodia last December.
Spring is finally in the air (the snow is melting),   have to hit the slopes as long as the  white stuff is still around
Have a nice wkend,
TD Caro

Fw: Fwd: my additional entries for POINTY

Dear Bi Twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,
Here are my additional entries for pointy things from my very, very long three and 1/ 2 days weekend trip to DC, where Mai Han had her Volley Ball tournament.
I did not have a chance to visit any monument, museum, nor hang out with our MC74 friends in DC. I never watched so many volley ball games in my life!
I had no choice but to practice taking sports photos, lots and lots of them.

In case you wondered how the photos came out, here are the comments I received from Mai Han and her friend after browsing the photos stored in my camera:
Mai Han: Lots of photos of feet, but...those were from the girls in the other team, Mom!
Sara: Why did you take so many of those?
me:  uh... I took them just in case our future theme is sneakers, and the girls in the other team wore pink socks, Mai Han.
Sara: (politely) Interesting...
Mai Han: That's so weird, Mom!

Any way, in between, I dutifully managed to take a few photos of pointy things, the first one is a huge star with its pointy corners and as a bonus a pointy arrow in the middle, hung from the ceiling in the Convention Center, and the second one is a photo of star shaped lights in a restaurant.

Goodnight and have a nice Wednesday

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Pointy but not so pointy

Thank you TNS for sharing such a gorgeous pointy view from above.
God must have reminded you :-)

And to share with PNEH friends and fans :-P here's an eclectic collection
of pointy things from my cay nha la vuon.

1. Pointy top
2. This one reminds me of M-U (just teasing :-))
3. When reading becomes boring
4.  Pointy knickknacks

Cheers,
BT

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my entries for Graffiti

Dear BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

Here is to "mo*? hang\" for GRAFFITI, and hoping that we will receive lot of entries from regular and MIA PNEHs, painters and poets.
I could not find any graffiti near my office and came back after an hour long of walking around many blocks at lunch time today, with an empty camera. So I had to do lots of searching in my messy folders (I know my little sis will jump in and make some comments here:-)) to find these graffiti which were seen:
1- on a truck, near the NY Public Library, Manhattan
2- in Bruxelles
3- on the road to Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas
4- along the railroad, outside of Bruxelles
5- along the railroad, in Montreal
(no.3,4,5 were taken while the car and the train were in motion, so the photos were not very sharp - sorry)

Goodnight and have a nice Thursday

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for Pointy theme

BiTi, EmCi,

Here's a slightly different take on the line "tay em lạnh để trong tình mình ấm", more fitting for the Pointy theme.:-)

Thank you, BiTi, for the collaboration.  A.Vinh thought the dash was an inspired touch; I told him I can't take credit for that or anything to do with the picture!

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] super late entry for Heart theme

BiTi, EmCi,

Here it is.  Sorry for holding up progress.  To BiTi's rhetorical question about EmCi's pic, "Where is the key", the answer could very well be, "There isn't one." :-)

Thank you, big sis, for letting me use an utterly romantic pic to express not so romantic sentiments.
