Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my entries for FRUITS / VEGGIES HARVESTED IN FALL

EmCi,
Faint??  That was my favorite picture, off-topic though it was.  I liked it so much, I wrote some verses to go with it.

Dear BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

here are my entries for the theme FRUITS/VEGGIES HARVESTED IN THE FALL, from my favorite shopping place every Wednesday from summer to fall
.
Most entries were taken at 8am this morning, except the eggplants, and the pumpkins sitting on the steps (I recall the latter one was taken on my way back from lunch with Mai Quang, so I expect Quang to give it a good review :-)). I enjoyed taking pictures of the veggies so much that the lady who sold the veggies handed me a huge butterfly worm on a leaf, for me to take a picture. She was going to take it back to the farm to feed the chicken but I kept asking her if she wanted me to release it to the nearby park for her, that she finally said "ok, you do it", just to get rid of ...me :-). I held the leaf with the worm on it and walked across to the garden to release it, but I must admit I was a little worried that it would crawl on to my hand. I don't know what I would do if that happened.
The last one is the photo of the worm, just to share with you, not to be posted on the blog, hope the female members of the Forum will not faint.

Goodnight and have a nice Thursday every onefrom Be^n Bo*\ So^ng

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for Icy Treats

Big sis,
OK, OK, here it is.  (I was muttering to myself, "she's going to tell me, no contribution no opinion" when mere minutes later, your tax collection note appeared!)  It's from my archives of a couple of years ago.  The title was lifted from "What are you doing for the rest of your life," which (remember?) A.Vinh sang at our 30th wedding-anniversary party 5 years ago around this time.

Fwd: [MC74 and Friends] entry for Chairs

BiTi,

Here's a really really late entry for Chairs, from EmCi and me.  It wouldn't have been as late, had EmCi not been as fussy about catching just the right afternoon sunlight.:-)

Fwd: [MC74 and Friends] shadows

BiTi, TNS,

If you're going to have a diapo for Shadows, may I request The shadow of your smile with Tony Bennett and Juanes?

Since EmCi once said to me không đóng góp thì không có lời bàn, here's a late entry with help from my daughter Clarissa.

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] announcement of PNEHs - Theme for next week

EmCi, BiTi

Here's my entry for this week's theme; "Hints of spring" made me think of falling in love for the first time dancing a first dance...

A.Vinh and I spent 15 minutes taking what should have been a simple snapshot.:-)  I have renewed respect for the photographers on this forum who reportedly take 1200+ pictures in a day, take pictures with one hand, take pictures with their cell phone, iPhone... all with amazing results.  Anyway, I'll let you guess which part of the picture I ended up using for the background.

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Theme for next week: GRAFFITI

BiTi, EmCi, PNEH friends,

To comply with the theme, I "borrowed" one of BiTi's pictures from the Heart series and scrawled all over it what graffiti means to me:  Random thoughts/words getting in the way of a good night's sleep - whether it's a rehashed argument or a to-do list...

Dear PNEH Friends,

Inspired by Caro TD's beautiful graffiti photos, Em Ci and I would like
to invite you to roam the streets and shoot the best graffiti you can find..
or .... if you can't find any to draw/paint/scratch your own ... or to write
a poem about the graffiti of your life :-)

The above is not mine by the way ... but it does illustrate how I feel this
morning hi hi ...

Have a good one dear friends,

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for Pointy theme

BiTi, EmCi,

Here's a slightly different take on the line "tay em lạnh để trong tình mình ấm", more fitting for the Pointy theme.:-)

Thank you, BiTi, for the collaboration.  A.Vinh thought the dash was an inspired touch; I told him I can't take credit for that or anything to do with the picture!

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] super late entry for Heart theme

BiTi, EmCi,

Here it is.  Sorry for holding up progress.  To BiTi's rhetorical question about EmCi's pic, "Where is the key", the answer could very well be, "There isn't one." :-)

Thank you, big sis, for letting me use an utterly romantic pic to express not so romantic sentiments.

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for the Heart theme

BiTi,

Here's the final version of our entry for "Heart" (I ran it by EmCi).  Thank you again for the collaboration.  A.Vinh LOVES the picture, and not just because he's relieved I didn't go through with my initial idea.;-)

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for Red and Gold theme

BiTi,

TNS thoughtfully left space on one of his beautiful hoa anh đào pics for me to ruin with a poem.:-)  Thank you, TNS.  Thanks also to my big sis EmCi for lending her artistic flair when I couldn't figure out how to make the entry fit the Red and Gold theme.

Horizon

Skyline silhouettes of wondrous kind,
Dreamy landscapes in many a sight,
Charming visions of ultimate delight
Nature refined touch better left undefined

From fallen dusk to early dawn
Twilight to the early light
Ocean, mountain sites to urban confines
Horizons, dashing sights of lovely vibes

New Year Calendar

New days sprout under snow cover.
Winged love hides just round the corner.
When the wind howls in your teapot,
Think blues skies and forget-me-nots
And tap your feet to soft raindrops.

Now grab your straw hats, your flip-flops,
Set out on the year’s longest day
Through city streets, on sun-soaked bays,
To look for that famed hotdog stand,
Till sundown finds you hand in hand
And once tender leaves burst gold-red.

Turn for home where lil’ sleepy heads
Wait for the sweetest, quietest night
Before another year takes flight.

Clouds Poem

Oh but a wisp, a golden glow in the distance
Our love backlit in its twilight
A cumulus nimbus, a drenching threat
I part the cottony billows, and seize the hope beyond

Re: [MC74 and Friends] Tr: HORIZONS

HL,

Your shot of the two "thuyền thúng" and the caption helped me come up with this under-the-wire entry for Chân trời".  This is the first time I've tried verses in Vietnamese.  It's so hard my head hurts.

Re: [MC74 and Friends] Last fall pictures

Dear Blog Bosses, fellow bloggers:

Bi. do`i no*. by MC, but having no photos to contribute for Fall theme, may I instead recite a little poem? I was reminded of this poem when MC recently posted a picture for Fall she named La' Thu-Phong. I forgot who the author of these verses was ( could be Tan-Da`). Here it goes:

Trận gió thu-phong rụng lá hồng
Lá bay tường Bắc lá sang Đông
Hồng bay mấy lá năm hồ hết
Thơ-thẩn kìa ai vẫn đứng không.

Trận gió thu-phong rụng lá vàng
Lá bay hàng xóm lá bay sang
Vàng bay mấy lá năm già nửa
Hờ-hững ai xui thiếp phụ chàng.

Hope you all like it.

horizon

Well, here's something I wrote for A.Vinh a while back called Either way.  TNS's Horizon with sun rays reminded me of it.

If there really are other suns,
Find the one, then come round for me.

But if there is no elsewhere to here,
Then let me cup your face in my hands
And hold the drawn breath between us
Till it wisps into once upon.

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My contribution for the theme FALL

Dear BT, MC, PNEHs and Friends,

"Gió heo may đã về
Chiều tím loang vỉa hè
Và gió hôn tóc thề"
Rồi mùa thu,
Mùa thu...

Thu đến cho lá vàng rơi, lá rơi cho đám cưới về...

Inspired by the LV love story and the Fall season, I would like to contribute some stanzas for the theme FALL:

Subject: [MC74 and Friends] RE Trees end streets scenes / Khong con mua Thu

Dear MCi,

I went to take some pictures of my first tulips, just open shy but then after a few shots, I realize that there were no card in my camera. Since I couldn't find an SD card, I can't take pics right? I'm so sorry. Let me offer a love poem instead... until I find my SD cards.

A toi

Thuy' Cha^u's poem

Thanks dear MC for the beautiful flowers.
I only have 2 or 3 crocuses in my garden. Spring is so late this year.
