Dear Em Ci Twin and PNEH friends,
Sur le pont d'Avignon .. on y danse on y danse ... remember? hi hi
I finally saw it and ... only half of it !! the rest fell into the water with
the trampling of all those dancers over the years (I made this last
part up :) but truly there's only half of it left.
So there you have it from top and front in photo 1 and 2
Then moving West to Nyons (where you can skip if you decide
to visit Haute Provence :-) unless you like to see this Pont :-)
photo 3
Then moving South West on the way to Barcelone, le pont de
Minerves ( a definite place to visit again for it's beautiful medivial
village, walk along the river underground, and see dolmen nearby
... I have always wanted to see a dolmen, haven't you? ) photo 4
Then hop on a boat and go east to Florence, I think the first bridge
there may be Caro's Ponte Vecchio ( here's a tip: take bus 12 or 13
and go up to Piazzale Michelangelo, it overlooks Florence and you
will not regret the view :-) you will also get a flavor of local life through
the ride ... Photo 5
Then get back on the boat hi hi and go south to Rome for a view of
the Ponte Sublicio in Travestere (ask Lan for the bus number if you
go by land hi hi) Photo 6
and if you just happened to be in San Francisco or wanted to come
and get your heart back hi hi these are a couple more of SF bridges
to add to Tuan and Em Ci's spectacular shots
The (not so) Golden Gate photo 7 and
The Bay Bridge photo 8
Thank you for coming along, I hope you enjoyed the bridges and
didn't jump off mid-way hi hi
