Due to an extremely heavy schedule, I could not post too much to the forum lately. Attached at your request are a few kid portraits from Bhutan. The kid's traditional school clothing is so cute and adorable. I hope you like them.

Btw, the little Bhutanese girl photo is now in color. Also if I recall correctly, the proverb did not say anything about women specifically. :)

Going 'dotty' :-)

Dear Em Ci Twin and Friends,

 Well, I see that my Twin has gone 'dotty' after all :-)  I love all your dots 

from Caro's yummy ones to Em Ci's colorful to HL's esoteric (check my

entry hi hi) ones. 

 I also enjoyed so much being on this side of the fence for once, and

totally appreciate the beautiful kids entries submitted by our PNEHs,

OC's gorgeous diapo set the my Twin gorgeous :-) music selection...

Quang's gorgeous comments ... so much so ... that I think I'll stay a

spectator from now on ( OK my Twin? :-))

Alaska was beautiful, I took tons of photos, so ... how about glacier or 

wood or totem poles for our next theme? hi hi

As to my entry for polka dots, here goes

1. Esoteric polka dots (as you can see they have them on both side

of the Atlantic :-))

4. and these (especially the cute apron that my Twin brought back from Bruxelles 

which goes quite well with my jeans don't you think? I think I'll wear them to go

grocery shopping next :-))

rain or shine - it's pOlka dOts time :-)

Dear BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

I did not think that it was easy to find polka dots. However, I was willing to give BiTi 's challenge a try.
So came Monday morning, I put on my polka dot scarf for inspiration and went out on a treasure hunt for polka dots :-)
I passed by Grand Central Terminal market where I saw cookies with m&m polka dots, and a mug with polka dots.
More polka dots seen along the way, through the windows of shops selling accessories: white dots on black umbrella, multicolor dots on sleek black rain boots, black dots on a veil of a black hat, multicolor dots on a silver bag.
I decided to make a bee line to Bryant Park near 5th Avenue and sat down to get some sun, when I spotted a young woman keeping herself warm in cool polka dots scarf.

Time to head back to the office, when suddenly I noticed all these white polka dots on black panels behind the windows of the Banana Republic store near Grand Central Station.

After all, my twin was right, it was not that hard to find polka dots. As a matter of fact, I had an overdose of polka dots that day.
Looking into my photo files on Monday evening, guess what I found? A photo of a red and black beads with white polka dots necklace I took at a flea market in Bruxelles.

My first polka dots/circles entries are from my kitchen...
- Caramelized apple slices (to serve with foie gras...)
- Home baked donuts (healthier than fried ones)
- my version of banh khot
- mini tartes Tatin, so yummy!

Do they qualify??

wrap up diapo - MONOCHROMATIC

Dear friends,

And the surprise continues for another week...
BiTi is taking a break (...again ????!!!!! Who said life is fair ?) (I won't tell you where my twin is going, but get ready for a future theme on icebergs and penguins :-)), so she and I asked OCF to volunteer to do the wrap up diapo for  M O N O C H R O M A T I C.
Far from being drab and boring, as you can see from the sample above, the entries from the PNEHs and our painter Thu Huong were all gorgeous and mesmerizing, and the wrap up diapo which was artistically put together by TNS brought the best out of them.
After making our legs exercise up and down the stairs with the cha cha beat last weekend, OCF thought we would need a little rest, so he decided on a Vivaldi piece as background music for the diapo this time.

A big thank you to Caro, HL,Thu Huong, KPN, Tua^n',Tri', TNS and Mai Quang for your awesome contributions and a special thank you to OCF for the beautiful diapo and your volunteering spirit :-)
