WHEN LIFE IMITATES ART : WHEN PNEHS ' PHOTOS IMITATE THU HUONG' S PAINTING

Dear Em Ci Twin, Thu Huong, M-U and friends,

Here's my second :-) attempt to recreate one of
Thu Huong's gorgeous aquarelles...

Em Ci: Is there a prize for who submitted the most on
this theme? :-P

BT

Dear fellow PNEHS, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

OK, since M-U has submitted her entry for this week's theme ICY/COLD TREATS, she is allowed to have an opinion :-).
She proposed that we take a picture of SOMETHING THAT WAS CELEBRATED IN A PAINTING BY OUR ARTIST THU HUONG.
To make it easier for all of us, we can chose any painting by Thu Huong, recreate the scene and take a photo (like Caro did for TEACUPS) or go look for the scene in real life and take a photo (like HL and Tua^n' for BRIDGES). You can submit more than one if you want to.
As to Thu Huong, it will be the reverse. You will chose one of our photos for your painting. Let's see who among the PNEHs will be the lucky winner.

ICY/COLD TREATS is ongoing till next Friday night, so go treat yourself to a refreshing cold raspberry lemonade or sumptuous gelato and take a picture for the blog.

have a beautiful weekend everyone

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for Icy Treats

Big sis,
OK, OK, here it is.  (I was muttering to myself, "she's going to tell me, no contribution no opinion" when mere minutes later, your tax collection note appeared!)  It's from my archives of a couple of years ago.  The title was lifted from "What are you doing for the rest of your life," which (remember?) A.Vinh sang at our 30th wedding-anniversary party 5 years ago around this time.

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] DIAPO "Bridges by PNEHs"

Dear PNEHs and friends,

We had a hard time deciding on a bridge song as most are pretty
melancholic :-) and we wanted something upbeat for summer, so
here we have it.  We hope you enjoy it :-)

Thank you for your patience and many thanks to our PNEHs and
artist for the variety of beautiful bridges and continued fun !!!

PS> the video seems to be blocked in Germany, wonder why? :-)

Fw: Re: [MC74 and Friends] My Icy Treats

Hi everybody

While waiting for our date to play golf with BT with HL watching MC taking photos, and enjoying granitas with MU, here are my icy treats after lunch today, I made them after one of my favorite street vendor drinks in Hong Kong, fresh mango juice served with diced fresh mango and mango jelly with crushed ice... Really refreshing and yummy

Caro

Hello TNS
Yes, love pistachio ice cream or gelato!!!
Hien Lan
Beautiful, colorful & yummy stuff
Everything looks so appetizing!

Here are my 1st entries for icy treats, the 1st one was taken during a Chef's Table dinner, the degustation menu was amazing and ended with this delicate dessert with rasberry ice cream and a band of white chocolate, the 2nd was from a buffet in Bora Bora... the 3rd was at one of the trendiest new restaurant Kudeta on the roof of the Marina Sands, a refreshing ice cream served with green apple allumettes and sherbet and nougatine, the 4th is a Durian flavored Kachang (banh lot) served over ice at the Blue Ginger, an authentic Malaysian restaurant in Singapore, and the last photo is of mini serving of ice cream with various toppings...

Cheers

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my entries for ICY TREATS

Dear Bi Twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

Here are my entries for ICY/COLD TREATS.
1-The first one was taken yesterday. All I had in mind as I walked in the sweltering midday heat was an icy cold drink.
2-Then I dreamed of sitting under the shadow of a palm tree by the beach, enjoying Mai Han's pina colada (ie without liquor)
3- and I continued dreaming, this time, of a heavenly dessert - vanilla ice cream topped with blueberry sauce over warm pear pastry, which I had at a restaurant in Napa Valley

Goodnight and have a great Wednesday everyone

Fwd: my additional entry for BRIDGES

Dear BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,
I remembered there was a tiny bridge in the little garden of the public library of our town. So I went there this afternoon to take a photo for our theme.
Here it was, nothing compared to the gorgeous bridge crossing the pond at Caro's Huntington Library, the little garden decorative bridge, painted in blue and hidden in the middle of pink, lavender and green hydrangeas.
