Clouds Poem
Oh but a wisp, a golden glow in the distance
Our love backlit in its twilight
A cumulus nimbus, a drenching threat
I part the cottony billows, and seize the hope beyond

Dear Triplets and PNEH-ers,
This one is called: "Into The Next Life" (Remember how people with near-death experience always see a bright light?). Sorry for the rather grim subject. :-)

Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,
Here are a couple of cloud shots, taken with my new iPhone 4S camera. Nothing quite as sensational as our superstar EmCi though...

Sorry to keep it in the family but here are a couple of shots of children: the first is of our daughter Olivia when she was 2, the other more recently of our niece. You have to agree they're so cute!

[MC74 and Friends] My entries on the theme of FALL
Dear Triplets & PNEH friends,
I was lucky enough to take some shots last weekend before the rain took out most of the leaves this week. So, to get a jump on this week's theme, here are my contributions. Enjoy.

[MC74 and Friends] My entries for Street Scenes
Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,
Took a while but here are my entries for "Street Scenes":
1. Typical Sunday morning scene in the downtown area of Lake Forest, IL where we live
2. Scene from a neighboring town, Highland Park with fall pumpkin display
3. A walkway from the same town. I found the shape of the roof kind of interesting.
Thanks.

[MC74 and Friends] My entry on the theme of "Reflections"
Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,
Here's a picture of the Charles Bridge in Prague at night. It came out a little blurry, but I always liked the composition so I "salvaged" it by turning it into a watercolor painting (with software, since I lack Thu Huong's immense talent!). Enjoy.

2. " A Dog's Life": our dog's very philosophical look at his life
3. "Life's A Gas": quite literally, after you eat at this place...
Enjoy, unless you lost power this weekend due to Irene, which would be a bummer!

[MC74 and Friends] My entries for the theme of "Holes"
Dear Triplets and PNEH friends,
I was waiting to round up a few more shots but Bà Chủ EmCi réo quá, so I'll just send them in as I shoot them.
1. "Fashion Holes" : Hopefully, not a case of "holes in my jeans, holes in my confidence" (from "Duncan" by Paul Simon). As you can see, my model, who wishes to remain anonymous, is quite a Foster The People fan!
2. "Manhole": self-explanatory.

[MC74 and Friends] My Entries For the Theme: "Evening"
Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,
Here are my entries for this week's theme" "Evenings"
1. "Evening" : The treeline is like a collection of hands reaching for the evening sky...
2. "Moonlit Neighborhood": Didn't plan this but somehow the moonlight gave the whole picture an interesting blue tint.
3. "Nuit De Gare": Our little town's train station at night. For this, I did get some tips for night shooting from my daughter Olivia, who took a photo course at school.
Enjoy.

My entries for umbrellas
Dear Triplets and esteemed members of PNEH,
Since I'm running a little late with my submission this week, I thought I'd attempt to "nịnh bợ Bà Chủ Blog" with a picture of her and her hubby under the parasol at last year's Boum Du Printemps.
The second shot is of my daughter Olivia in Grand Cayman, enjoying her personal shade. The last one is self-explanatory: a garden umbrella in the quiet of the evening (not the greatest quality shot, I have to say. BT, feel free to scrap it if it doesn't show well in the collage).
Amities,

My entry for this week's theme: Summer
Hi Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,
For us, summer in Chicago means going to the famous Ravinia Music Festival and having a picnic on the lawn while listening to a great concert. This year, we were lucky to have Thanh Tai's company and the band was none other than Pink Martini! Needless to say, that turned out to be quite a wonderful evening.

My entries for: Red White and Blue
Dear Triplets and fellow PNEH-ers,
In spite of some fairly intense partying over the weekend, I still found the time to snap a couple shots for this week's theme (do I get any brownie points? :-)). The first is a cute window display that has the ingredients of summer: blue sky, clouds, watermelon et... The second is rather self-explanatory.
Amities,
Triet
