Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Animals/pets
A chance encounter on a deserted country road...
When I saw her standing there
I jumped right out my car
And when she moved closer to me
She made me feel not so lonely
My heart is pounding and feelin' bold
She then turned away and left me cold
The fragrance of her ponytail made me cry
I saw rejection in her brown eyes
Baby, I sure hope you're not a filly...
Sorry for the blatant and poorly plagiarized lyrics of a popular 70's
tune, but i couldn't resist. Getting bored at an airport in
horseland ;-).
Nice spring weekend to all.

[MC74 and Friends] Winterscape
It snowed all day in Cowland yesterday, even the cows were taking refuge in the barns (preserving the full flavor of their steaks for HL). But someone did brave the elements to take this picture :-))

[MC74 and Friends] JOY to PNEHs and the Forum !
Dear 2 ba chu blog, ong chu Forum, Mr. Kiu, fellow PNEHs, and friends,
If I may join you late and add to your very beautiful, festive, and jolly collection of Christmas pictures and painting, here’s my entry. With special intervention from a higher authority, I was granted permission by the ranch owner to catch a quick glimpse of Santa Bull and his supporting cast. Snap, snap… Here they are, performing a traditional holiday hymn, “Joy to the World of PNEHs and the Forum” !! J

RE: [MC74 and Friends] My first chan troi
Dear fellow PNEHs and friends,
To provide a counter point of view to all your gorgeous pictures and Thu Huong’s striking painting of horizon, may I offer a different horizon. Without water, mountains, trees, not even clouds… All it has was dirt, nothing but dirt, and more dirt. It’s a dirty job, but someone has gotta do it J. And it’s only hundreds of miles from civilization…
West Texas horizon where earth and sky meet…

Re: [MC74 and Friends] theme for next week - ANACHRONISM
Dear 2 ba chu blog, fellow PNEH, painters, poets, Mr. Kiu, and Forum Friends,
TGIF ! And thank God for the first day of fall in the northern hemisphere. The hottest recorded summer in Texas (and for a large part of the US) has finally come to an end, although the drought still persists wreaking havoc and long term damages to our land, people, flora and fauna.
I did find a very dusty and old camera in my son’s closet and thought of the current PNEH theme. I can’t imagine taking pictures nowadays with this old camera with a roll of film of only 24 exposures, wait a day for the development to discover that possibly none of the pictures are any good, and then how to post the pictures on the blog? Picasa? Make a diaporama? Or even email them? And God forbid, photoshop them… J
Such anachronism and contrast with today’s instant gratification needs !
Enjoy your weekend !

[MC74 and Friends] Hmmm... Letters Theme Still ?
Dear 2 ba chu blog, fellow PNEH, and friends,
This picture reminds me of an oldie but goodie from ’69, the number 1 song of that year. I remember it well since I was religiously listening to the “end of year countdown” on the radio. So here’s my “Candy Girl” a few years later, “I just can’t believe the loveliness” of her even standing next to the thrash bins. A stark contrast you may say… J

RE: [MC74 and Friends] My first and last entry for ... LIFE ! :-)
Dear fellow PNEH, my Sweet Onion, Em Ci, Mr. Kiu et al,
Ok, ok… We heed your warning and have to dig deep into our banks of memory and even old suitcases to find something in the middle of the night that would even come close to the LIFE theme. My well of ideas and imagination has run dry by the relentless heat of this summer. Luckily we found an old sketch from the ol’ days (when we were young and I still have something on top of my head) that best described our life then, and sure enough still holds true to this day.
Here it is: “Life on the Run”

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] gentle reminder to PNEHs re: Summer
Dear fellows PNEH, hoa shi, thi shi, and Mr. Kiu,
This summer has been the most brutal in years. With temps above 100 since the end of June and no end in sight (perhaps September?), we can only dream of a summer place bathed in a warm sunlight and a gentle cool breeze. Ahh, how I wish.
Here's my 2 for 1 entry J for the summer and umbrella theme, California Dreaming…
and my favorite summer song. Stay cool and have great weekend everyone !

Great idea MC ( that's why we are Twins hi hi )
Ktciiii deariiii :-) How about YOU wearing bj, a white shirt, and do what Em Ci suggested with the strawberries and have
your BH take the pic as her entry? ha ha
Have fun!
BT
Hi Ktc,
you see? Always ask my twin BiTi for advice when in doubt, or "luc' nao\ bi' lu\", 'cause she always has a good advice or two to offer.
If you want more red, ask your BH to hold a bowl of strawberries and bite into one, hhhmmmm, I can visualize it already, so summery and beautiful, right BiTi?

Dear Quang, BT, and Ktc
I already gave fair warning to ATB that I will use his posting to reply to you and that he should have it copyrighted. I also checked with my lawyer: since ATB did not have it copyrighted and he was silent (im lang. la\ do^\ng y', in this case), I could borrow it without any consequence, so here it is, a bit modified, and typed in a different color :-), to reflect my own situation, but also just in case TNS decides to sue me, I could claim that it was entirely my idea... :-) .
I had always been in search for a way to express myself until I found out about photography, thanks to my muse and mentor BiTi. The more I learn about this art, the more I'm into it. Taking photos not only makes me happy and relaxed but also allows me to show people how I see the world, to be creative, and most of all; it helps me understand myself better. I may not afford many fancy equipments. and even if I could afford them, I would not be able to lug them around (fancy equipments are so heavy! A mere look at them makes me feel overwhelmed) nor would I be able to use them (too complicated for my lazy and simple mind) and I do not know have any technical skills. However, I still feel proud of being able to love something that much. One million thank you's Quang, BiTi, and Ktc for your sweet comments, and most of all for always encouraging me from the start. If I ever get any photography award, will surely mention your names, so keep encouraging me :-)

PS: Ktc, truly sorry to do this to you :-), but... where are your entries, now that the partying has been over for a week already, and Triet and KL and BL had submitted theirs?
BiTi and I are big fans of your beautifully shot and original entries too, so cannot wait to see them :-)
Also, could you please nhac ' kheo' your BH (as in beautiful half) to submit hers once she recovers from the "organizers' fatigue syndrome".
