- What's going on around the world? asked a little sparrow
- Spring has sprung in my little world by the sea where it never rains
chirps the Cardinal
- Whoa !!! So much floral variety with bursts of cheerful colors!!! Brightens up my day ! chirps in the Rouge-gorge :-)
- Beautiful blossoms... but look here at what's blooming in my corner of the world by the Golden Gate that is more red than golden ... chirps the little Sparrow
- You birds inspire me so ... the lazy flowers in my corner by the river are still zzzzzzzzzzzing :-( except for these few beauties which are just splendid, don't you think? chirps in the ever energetic Hummingbird :-)
- Sublime chirpagrees the Cardinal
- Well birdies friends... don't think we have just cactus and cows in my corner of the world !!! What do ya'll say to these gorgeous mamas? chirps in the Mockingbird :-)
The aves world is chirping up a storm, all birdies are fluttering about excited for Spring is on it's way. Simply beautiful! Oh Mio Dio ! coos the Dove.
Well, dear birdie friends, I am not insensitive to your call, here is the collage of the flower scene from my corner, enjoy the tulip fever chirps the Rosefinch
Wow, it certainly feels like drinking from a fire hose! So many gorgeous flowers Thank you all for sharing chirps the Northern Parula
(to be continued as more birdies join the chirping party :-) and the Parula finishes her tax return :-)
Then came Saturday ... our poor Hummingbird flew home from Nairobi where she went to visit the baby elephants and it rained all day, so ... the (wet and not so energetic) Hummingbird from Be^n Bo*\ So^ng went out in the afternoon to take pictures of the raindrops on the leaves and flowers.
She made all the birds so happy. Even the Mockingbird chirps up Such a beautiful collage! May giot mua long lanh rat la dep! You took the chirping right out of my beak chirps the Cardinal
Then came Sunday, the sparrow decided to go out and take a look around the garden in the silicon valley to see what's still blooming and here you have it... flowers galore :-) First, the sparrow caught sight of a funny iris, instead of the usual bright purple dress, she decided to stand out this year with a gold-yellow veined with burgundy number. So there, she got the center place.
The gerberas are happily settling in, thi nhau dua no om xom, rivaling with the huge bouquet of begonias. The bushes are also all in blooms (this bird-brain sparrow however can't remember all their names :-))
By now, feeling a bit guilty, the Northern Parula flew in with a magnificent collage of Spring in Virginia
Her splendid blooms got all the birds chirping ...
It is contagious... the flowers' fever...and I am glad you are sensitive to the beauty of the Spring ! Beautiful collage and you are so lucky to have
such a nice garden chirps the Rosefinch

Super! your weeping cherry is huge ! and now we get to see your mansion in a different season with the beautiful spring blossoms. It's weird that your white hydrangea (?) is already blooming whereas ours haven't even budded yet.. I can't wait to see your (and our humming bird's) peonies chirps the sparrow
I'm so amazed at how beautiful your garden looks like in spring! It must be a source of endless joy for you to enjoy every day! Just incredibly bursting with cheerful colors! chirps in the Rouge-gorge :-)
The dogwood flowers are among my favorites. Mine finally came out earlier this week happily chirps the Hummingbird ( when she is happy her chirping is very colorful :-))
Very pretty collage! I esp like the one of the dogwood against the window with the tree reflection chirps the Northern Parula Ours, which is half destroyed by the winter storm, is past its prime now. What's in profuse bloom this week: lilacs, dianthus, and more azaleas. Still waiting for the peonies...

The flowers of your garden are absolutely fabulous! I am mesmerized by their beauty chirps the california Quail who happens to fly by :-)
And on the Sunday the Rosefinch send us all a bonus from her land on the Swiss lake
Wow, beautiiiiiiful flowers... are all of these grown around the lake? you are so lucky ms Rosefinch, khong phai trong khong phai tuoi ma co' hoa de ngam all year around chirps the sparrow
Then on the 1st of May our french rossignol (nightingale) sent us a beautiful bouquet and poem
And back in California on the 3rd of May the little sparrow went out to check and see what's still blooming in the garden ... lookie here! and it's a riot out there, the azealas are still blooming, so are the irises ... Yippee dippee dooh dah!!!! This is the first year that we've gotten so many irises and they are
of a gorgeous purple blue ! and of course the singular pale yellow one is still blooming proudly.
The african lilies are joining the party too, red, violet and yellow (the new kid on the block). The rododendrons are coming ... And forget about the roses ... I can't keep up with them :-)
The birdie world is up in ... excitement and wonder. One morning the little swallow found this purple flower in the yard when she got ready to go snap her cute blooming face around lunch time, lo and behold the flower has closed up into a bud !
Curious, I came back out in the afternoon, tweeted the swallow, thinking maybe the purple bloom was just taking a nap. But, she stayed closed up into a bud for the rest of the day. The next morning she showed her face again and again only for a couple of hours... She's so pretty, does anyone know what's her name?
The hummingbird excitingly searched the wide wide web and came back with: Your mysterious flower looks almost like a purple aster, except for the green petals. May be it is its cousin :-).
The artistic Parisian Allouette :-) chirped in Khong ngo*` mot hoa nho? chup le^n hinh dep nhu vay. Sublime! Les 2 tons violet et vert vont merveilleusement ensemble , nhu* deo ca^ ?m thach tren ao dai ti’m.
Finally, Wiki came to the to the rescue, the mysterious little purple flower is a salsify, aka vegetable oyster (as the root has the taste of oyster - I don't think I'lll try it :-)) chirped the swallow- Jerusalem star, or goatsbeard ... quite a range of names for a flower, not to mention the fancyTragopogon porrifolius
In the mean time, the hummingbird flew over the neighbor's garden to check him out :-) To her delight and soon to be her birdie's friend she spotted some beautiful flowers and among them a surprise! (read on)
Being the sweet humming bird of the birdie world she tweeted excitedly: Here is my bouquet of May flowers to all of you, and specially the mother birdies. I must admit that I ran out of subjects in my own garden, so I went to the backyard of o^ng ba\ han\g xom' (I even lied down on the grass and watch the clouds floating slowly on the sky. Aaaah, forbidden pleasure! :-)). I even caught a bee snacking as you will see in the photos.
Then her friend the Swallow went on a trip and the hummingbird felt a bit lonely in her birdie world :-(
A new bird flew in from Canada, to cheer her up with some beautiful tulips in the sky, then she has to go back to ... plucking dandelions. We hope the sweet loon will come back to tweet some more :-)
On the last sunday of May the hummingbird chirped proudly :-) Finally my peonies are blooming and my garden is filled with their fragrance. Despite the fact that my patio is now invaded by an army of gigantic ants attracted by my peonies, it is such a daily pleasure to look at those peonies basking under the sun.
I LOVE peonies tweeted ... drooling ... tweeted the little swallow
Then the rosefinch chirped in with some news: This morning, by walking along the lake, I discovered with a lot of surprise, the new design of MY garden in Montreux I think it worth to share it with you, All the bamboo stuff were taken away and place to the new stone and rock design...
That's beautiful agree all birdies, but we loved the bamboo look too and are so glad you captured it for us ... remember?
and our energetic hummingbird spent time in her garden shooting more photos of flowers and ...weeds ), and not so much on taking care of my garden as I should have :-) she chirped Here are some more from ca^y nha\ la' vu*o*n\ to share with you. I forgot what the tiny blue flowers are called, the leaves look like long grass.
Aren't those blue flowers precious ?????? I want some in my garden ... dreamed the swallow
On the opposite side of the states, the swallow also sees blue flowers blooming everywhere
The irises are really having a ball on the west coast this year
Then came the first weekend of June. our hummingbird tweeted happily My had some chives had some flowers (you have to understand ... in the world of gardeners, it's like ... my daughter just had twin babies :-)) , so last week, I took advantage to shoot some photos of its flowers which I found very graceful for such a humble herb. I made a collage together with the photos of the irises from my neighbors' backyard. Then I added a photo of the many weeds from my own backyard, and a photo of the young leaves and flower buds of my rhododendron. The green of the rhododendron young leaves and the deep pink of its flower buds are so beautiful, just like gem colors.
The closeup of the chive flower, the dappling light behind the bell flowers and the foliage green on green in the bottom right corner are beautifully captured by our talented hummingbird.
In the meantime it's been 'storming' in the west coast of the States. I woke up this morning to find many delphinium blossoms disheveled tweeted the little swallow, and a couple snapped in half. R tried the bandaid approach :-) but I decided to make 'lemonade out of lemons' or rather a bouquet out of the flowers.
So here it is for you and all flowers fans a bouquet of salvaged flowers from the garden.
Finally the sun came out for a while Sunday afternoon, and inspired by her friend the hummingbird the swallow went out and shot 'weeds and whatnots' :-) I found the first bud of peonies at the side of the house ... chriped the swallow unfortunately it's on the other side of the property line, i.e. it belongs to Mr. Harris. I am really tempted to 'move' it a few inches and called it ours
As to the whatnots, there were so many of them as you can see hi hi
But the greatest treat of all is what our french allouette brought us .. all drawn by her lovely birdie-hand :-)
And on the Sunday the Rosefinch send us all a bonus from her land on the Swiss lake

A tous mes amis , chaleureuses pensées !
