Dear Friends, To eat my own words and disclaimer :) I could not resist submitting a 2nd entry for the week : the photo of my niece, the apple of my eyes, for the theme of " Children with attitude " ( from CTT 's categorizing the entries of the week as 2 themes:" Attitudes" and "Children ")  I thought Chloe Ai-Vy is so cute in this picture ( I have this pic and many others of hers around my desk to keep me company :) and would qualify as " Coyishness " in Children with Attitude, dont you think? EmCi, I'm lay thit de nguoi here ( both Chloe and myself are on the heavy side :) and am afraid your willowy Francoise Hardy frame wont be able to withstand the invasion :) so be careful of what you wish !! To follow in Triet's footsteps who started with the first picture of  " Attitudes " in  Prague,  I ask for permission to submit the 2nd  bold picture as my entry for this week's  theme.  I have to respectfully inform the 2 blog owners that this may be my one and only  submission , for lack of talent ( hopefully, after this disclaimer , EmCi wont go after me and do`i no*. every week :)  But to make up for my ' Bi' da`i  da`i" /barrenness in the future,  there are 3 attitudes instead of one in this  entry :   - Satisfied as  in female " I did it ",  - Puzzled  Asian Tourist   and the most endearing one in my eyes :  - Mischievious as in boyish " Do I dare ? " :) By the way, Triet,   I believe we had  our  first  wild boar / sanglier   dish at this restaurant , though I cannot remember its name, nor the names of other places in Prague ( Czech is a hard language to master). I admire your son for going there as an exchange student. Though most people speak english , but all the signs are in Czech , making it very confusing at the metro and bus stations.   BT,  I dont know how to compress  the file to a smaller size so I tried playing with the Collage feature of Picasso. Hopefully you can open it.

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Our weekly project - new theme "Attitude"

Dear fellow pho nhom/artists,

It's amazing what things you can find around your house collecting dust all these years, e.g. statues, and lo and behold a cow with a "diva" attitude.  Texas has more cows than people (close to 30 millions or so) and it just happens there's one in our backyard.  Here she is, all dressed up with cherry red lipstick on, and wanting me to snap pictures of her to show her off on the blog.  I think she said Mooooah !

Hi TNS and MC - I totally relate with what you're going through, it's the same with my sons, not only they do not let me take any photos of them (except for special occasions), they would prefer me not to talk about them to my friends either! Yes, Thuan, enjoy your kids while they're young and still idolize you... Mine used to think that their mom was perfect, but I feel that now it's even better because they still adore me with all my flaws but I cannot get away with everything any more!

Dear fellows pho' nhom\ en herbe, hoa. si~, thi si~,  art critic, and Forum friends,

Here are my three entries for Attitudes.

The first entry is a copy cat of the original by TNS.
I took this picture of Mai Kho^i, my eldest daughter (who does not enjoy being photographed), during our vacation last summer in Hawaii. It was also the first time I took pictures, so I was very eager to improve my skills, at MK's total displeasure as she was constantly under camera surveillance, so much so that she threatened to confiscate my camera more than once. Now, if she knew that I am posting her photo on the blog, I would never see my camera again :-)
I was playing paparazzi, while we were waiting for the food which took a long time come, and, we were starving. Now I know that it is the sort of combination that would trigger the worst attitude out of of my human subjects :-).

The second and third ones are to keep up with the trend set lately by other pho' nhom\s of photographing statues :-).
These photos were taken in DH park in Manhattan where there has been a display of statues with different expressions and positions. I was walking through the park one early morning last March, after the snow had fallen lightly over the night.

Somehow, when I looked at the statue sitting on a bench covered by the snow, I saw a very peaceful expression, and zen-like attitude.

I hope my last entry could fit into this theme, as a symbol of an attitude of mutual respect.

OK, now I could go back to my chores.

My kids are still young, so I have not experienced the "attitude" that Brain showed here. I am heeding Son's advice to enjoy this time as much as I can, for the children will not be as attached to us when they grow up. I am sending in a picture showing a different attitude, that of my youngest boy Nathan Xuan-Khoa ( who is now 6 y/o), taken when he was almost 3, at a time when the presence and attention of his father was still desirable and pleasurable to him.

Pour continuer sur le même mood que Triêt, je me permets de vous envoyer un petit poème écrit il y a quelque temps. Un ami de mc74 m' avait dit un jour avoir eu un " flash" dans le métro, il a cru reconnaitre un ancien amour sur le quai du métro , puis pfuuit !!  C était un soir d Automne en rentrant du travail, il faisait froid et sombre, ce fut comme une belle lumière l' espace d 'un instant
Je suis partie sur cette histoire pour imaginer ceci

Souvenirs d'Automne  

Ta bouche est une rose
Sur laquelle s 'est posé mon souffle brûlant
Je 'ai jamais goûté à la douceur de l' hydromel
Qu' à travers la saveur de nos langues emmêlées
Au creux de mon cou tu avais enfoui ton visage

Dear fellows Pho' Nhoms\ en herbe, hoa si~, thi si~, art critic Mr. Kiu, and Forum friends,
 
It seemed to me that you all like this theme :-). As most of you have submitted your entries already and with so much enthusiasm too, it put me under a lot of pressure :-).

Since announcing the theme, I have been spending my time admiring your entries instead of taking care of mine, and the more I did that, the lazier I got. It was so much fun, "ngoi^\ vat' cha^n le^n, ngam' hinh\ cua? nguoi\ khac' chup" and make comments! (isn't it Mr. Kiu?)

The only problem with that is, as a slowpoke it would be a tad embarrassing for me to go after the other slowpokes (who know very well who they are :-)), and harass them for their entries.
So here it is my humble entry with its humble introduction (plzzz plzzz BiTi, let's not exaggerate here, my little introductions to my entries are no poems), in an attempt to describe my dreaming pleasure of touching a cloud. 
 
I closed my eyes and I reached out,
Like the tree branches, I touched a cloud.
As light as a spring scarf, it floated in the wind.
Soft like a baby's cheek, it made my heart sing.
I closed my eyes, I imagined.
