My last entry for Heart

Dear friends,

I saved these last 'cay nha la vuon' shots for
this special day.

And to join Be Lan and K Liem , I wish you a
very Happy Valentine's Day all over :-)

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my second entry for POINTY THINGS

Thank you BiTi Twin. I love your pointy shots of the famous buildings of NYC. I remember where we stood when you took the photo of the Chrysler building, I have a few that are a bit similar, and I bet HL has one too. :-)
Here is a collage of more pointy architectural details which I took today.
Goodnight

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my second entry for POINTY THINGS

 Dear Em Ci Twin,

I remember the cups well but my photo doesn't come anywhere
close to your beautiful shot with the reflection of the pointy thing :-)

Here are a couple of other pointy shots from the trip that I love.
Xos,
BT

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my second entry for POINTY THINGS

Dear twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets and Forum friends,

here is my second one, also from my photo folders. The building with a pointy rooftop was seen through the glass walls of another building.
(HL and BiTi will surely remember the paper cups).
Goodnight
MC

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] My entry for "pointy"

Dear Bi Twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,
I am taking a break from watching the Grammy Awards where my favorite female singer Adele just won Album of the year, to go through my photo folders, looking for something pointy to submit.
Here is my first entry, my favorite pointy point of reference, the roof of the Chrysler Building.

My entry for "pointy"

Dear Ci Twin and sister and PNEH friends,

To illustrate what I meant by pointy here's a couple of photos
I took this afternoon.  Ahem, for those of you have more
imaginative minds ... please do share with us your interpretation
be it sensical, logical (like mine hi hi), artistic or freudian etc... :-)

Have a good week ahead,
BT

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my additional entries for HEART

Dear Bi Twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and forum friends,

In pursuit of hearts, after dropping off Mai Han at a birthday party in Manhattan, I took a short walk along Madison Avenue around 60th Street for a couple of blocks, where all the posh stores were with their beautiful window displays. There were hearts in different sizes, colors and shapes. I took a few photos to share with you.
Then on the way back to pick up Mai Han, our car passed by 34th Street where the department store Macy's was. As the car had to slow down due to traffic, I was able to quickly snap some photos of its windows displays, as well as its ads.

Here they are, the hearts I collected from today's hunting trip:
1- the D&G heart beautifully dressed up in white lace (there were 3 hearts on display, but this one has the reflection of a mannequin couple wearing white from the store on the opposite side of the street)
2- the suspended red heart, looking like a gigantic human one, in display at a jewelry store.
3- Macy's hearts, looking like butterflies.
4- Macy's ad

Goodnight from be^n Bo*\ So^ng

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] entry for the Heart theme

BiTi,

Here's the final version of our entry for "Heart" (I ran it by EmCi).  Thank you again for the collaboration.  A.Vinh LOVES the picture, and not just because he's relieved I didn't go through with my initial idea.;-)

Dear BT, HL,  MC and friends,

This is how Lake Geneva looked like last saturday ! negative temperatures  combined with a strong wind were instantly transformed the boats  into ice and the worst is to come ! We will have this temperature until the end of Feb....
Can't wait for Spring....

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my entry for HEART

Hello 2 ba chu

I had a nice break over the week end and was happy to go to the lunch organized by TNS for our friend Quang, it was so much fun! It was great catching up with you Quang, as well as with the other friends!

Then I became overwhelmed with work again this week so didn't have time to go look for hearts to photograph... Last night I was packing for my trip to Paris and was struck by a brilliant idea... I took pictures of some of my T shirts and sweaters with a heart motif. I'm now on a stopover in Chicago waiting for the connection to Charles de Gaulle, and quickly assembled these prints, and voila, a patchwork of hearts! My favorite is the striped one from Comme des Garcons!

Cheers
Caro

Thank you for braving the cold ... but where is the Champs Elysee
sous la neige?  Are you playing hooky and not go to work? :-)

And not to rub it in ... but this is what's looking like when I went
for a walk at lunch ... You better hurry and come on over :-)

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] Winter

Dear Bi Twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

Not to rub it in, BiTi (though I love your photos of winter from your garden and the accompanying whimsical notes:-)), but here are my latest photos for WINTER.
As if to give us in NYC a cheerful note in the middle of the winter to lift up our mood, and to welcome my fellow NYker Mai Quang back, sweet Mother Nature gave us flowers, and not any flowers, but the bursting with happiness orange/red/deep pink and sunny yellow witch hazel kind.
It was not too cold today and very sunny in NYC, so I took a walk to my favorite place during lunch breaks, Tudor City Park.
It was such a delightful surprise for me to see one of my favorite flowers along the way in front of a building and in the park. That was all I needed to feel so warm on the 6th of February.

Goodnight and have a nice Tuesday everyone
from Be^n Bo*\ So^ng

Fw: [MC74 and Friends] measures of time

BiTi,

Here's another entry for the theme Clocks, watches, and instruments to measure time.  It's a sympathy note to my older son, who lost one of his best friends a couple of weeks ago - a lovely girl with a radiant smile and a huge heart; her dash was heartbreakingly short, but it was a brilliant dash.

(The photo was taken by my niece Justine Hồng-Giang.)
