[MC74 and Friends] My first entry for WINTER
Dear twin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets , Mai Quang and Forum friends,
Between catnaps, I did not know what else to do with my time during our long drive on highway 87 on Christmas day. So I took out my camera to shoot pictures. I was so tempted to roll the window down to take pictures but I knew I was going to get buried under a sea of complaints, so had to resign myself to take pictures behind the car window
This photo sort of captured winter on the road.
Since I have no access to my pc, my mat cu vo cannot see very clearly the photo on the iPad screen, so BiTi, I reserve the right to withdraw this entry once I got home and saw how much of an eyesore it was.
Goodnight
MC

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My entry for winter
Dear Em Ci and PNEH friends,
Here's a collage of what you'll find in California in winter.
Our trees are hung with organic ornaments, little sun to
brighten up our winter when father sun is too sleepy
to come out :-) I added the yuzu lime tree last spring
and already we have many limes, I had to pick, squeeze
and freeze the juice. The Meyer lemons are there to
pick year round and the Navel oranges will be ready
in another 3-4 weeks.
And if you wander into my favorite Southern CA town,
this is what you'll find ... winter? what winter? :-)
Cheers,
BT

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My second entry for warmth
Hi BT
Yes, I miss your cook blog, you should update it!
Your entry reminds me of the German Feuerzangenbowle winter hot flaming punch made with red wine, rum, cinnamon, a mixture of citrus and caramelized sugar. So here's my new entry for Warmth...
This delectable drink really makes you feel warm and fuzzy!
Cheers

My second entry for warmth
Dear Twin and fellow PNEH,
Before you head out to shoot some cold winter
scene, how about a couple of shots of 'vin chaud'
to keep you warm and ... in good spirit ;-) ?
For those of you who like to tinker in the kitchen
the recipe is posted on my cook-blog which
has been left unattended for a long time (shame
shame
)
Cheers!

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My entry for CHRISTMAS
BiTi, EmCi,
Here's my late entry for the Christmas theme, inspired by all the bright, colorful, and heart-warming pics everyone sent in. That's one advantage of being late, there's so much to inspire you.
I think all of us have reached a point in our lives where the best present is to have someone tell you "no, you're not too old to dream" and help you realize that dream.
(THg - The background is a silver bracelet my daughter Clarissa made for her jewelry class last semester. I thought of it when I saw your "ruban" watercolor.)

[MC74 and Friends] JOY to PNEHs and the Forum !
Dear 2 ba chu blog, ong chu Forum, Mr. Kiu, fellow PNEHs, and friends,
If I may join you late and add to your very beautiful, festive, and jolly collection of Christmas pictures and painting, here’s my entry. With special intervention from a higher authority, I was granted permission by the ranch owner to catch a quick glimpse of Santa Bull and his supporting cast. Snap, snap… Here they are, performing a traditional holiday hymn, “Joy to the World of PNEHs and the Forum” !! J

Re: [MC74 and Friends] My entries for XMAS
Hi Triet
Very pretty Christmas lit rows of trees!
Here's my new entry for Christmas
Last night, on the way to Bich Lan & Luan's place in San Marino, we drove past a street filled with festively decorated houses with sparkling lights, spinning carousels, moving reindeers and elves, Christmas carols blasting through loudspeakers, and one of the house owners even dressed up as Santa to greet passersby and distribute candies... It was both kitsch and utterly charming! Enjoy

Re: [MC74 and Friends] Warmth
Hi Friends
On this chilly winter evening, I feel warm and fuzzy and imagined myself wrapped in Tuan's brightly colored blanket, petting Triet's dog by the fireplace, dreaming of Liem's light soaked room and wishing to be on Son's sunny beach, while savoring MC & BT's yummy chocolates...
Here's my interpretation of warmth: a freshly baked cookie
Enjoy photos of my batch of sweets baked this week end...
