It snowed all day in Cowland yesterday, even the cows were taking refuge in the barns (preserving the full flavor of their steaks for HL).  But someone did brave the elements to take this picture :-))

My New Year's resolution is to not overthink everything.  When something good comes your way - a bit of inspiration, true friendship, luck - just run with it, with the same unquestioning zest we used to have as children - or MC and I used to have, skipping naps and running wild through the grassy area around the first house we grew up in.:-)

So here's my entry.  The background photo is A.Vinh's.

I love your new year resolutions, I can relate to all of them except for

HLan's hi hi.

Unlike you and like my Twin I don't have any new year resolution :-)

city. The last one is obviously not taken by me (so not for the blog) as I

was too busy trying not to fall  from the thing hi hi

I have the same resolutions that I don't keep (sigh), I don't think I could turn fully vegetarian yet, so I'll start small... my resolution is to go vegetarian once a week... and to definitely to drink more water! See I mean it, I just finished a bottle to take this picture!

For the new year resolution, I just think about being a vegetarian & be healthy as much as possible!!!

 Không sao dâu, lôi~cua? NL hêt', tu' ngày giao tim cho bV thi' NL bi. chia lam' 3: 1/3 o Montreux, 1/3 o SJ, 1/3 o Paris nên không co'n thi' gio' dê? "be a good PNEH" nua~.
Nhung luc' nào cung theo doi~ PNEH's activities and friends' posts và rât' cam? dông. ca'c ban. da~ an ui? NL trong thoi' gian gap. kho' khan...

Day la' vai' tâm' hinh' mu'a dông Thuy. Si~, goi? cho MC, BT and PNHE, hy vong là NL se co' dip. post hinh' nhiêu hon' trong 2012 (my new resolution ha? MC?).

Are you ready for the avalanche?
BiTi, wrap yourself in a blanket, put on your pink-tinted sunglasses, and have your mug of steamy hot chocolate ready :-)
My entries were taken just yesterday.
The first photo, entitled "l'hiver, l'attente" was taken in Bo*\ Nam, right before driving back to Be^n Bo*\ So^ng (the temperature was 40 F, so my hands were frozen stiff after a few minutes of standing outside to take the picture).
My second one "winter landscape", and my third collage "winter road" were taken while sitting in the car, driving along US 87.

Loin d'avoir un hiver lumineux et ensoleillé comme en S.Cali de TNSon , Caro NHoa et BTrâm , du Nevada de KLiêm , un hiver enneigé et immaculé comme à Lake Tahoe de Tuân' , en Suisse de Caro TD , et dans N.E de MC , voici quelques photos d'un hiver brumeux et givrant de l' Ile de France , moins poétiques et dê² thuong que les prises de Hiên Lan mais tout autant lanh buôt' !

I got back from SE Asia (VN and Cambodia: Angkor temples are simply magnificent)  with a bad cold. Please find  here a few pics of the Swiss winter.

So I just like to contribute my small entry  for “ the winter in the dry land”  for fun

I saw this small tree @  the red-rock  park close to Las Vegas  & had much feeling admiring it

While we were on a trail towards the larger Red Rocks,

( It’s pretty wonderful to walk during the cooler season in the desert area )

Dear Twin and PNEH friends,

How about some khoai lang nuong , nong hoi vua thoi vua an? :-)

To Hlan: when you went back to Dalat were you able to find 

banh' da khoai?  I have yet to have my banh da khoai from 

our childhood ... :-(  Proustian complex :-)

To: M-U, try some ruoc with oatmeal first if you don't want to 

go through all the trouble with chao' ga to see if you like the

taste of a salty oatmeal. I love it hi hi
