Dear twin BiTi, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

I really enjoyed looking at the superb and varied entries from OCF, my twin, Caro, Tri' , KPN  for the theme BACKLIGHTING.
Tua^n' and Hie^n\ Lan, we miss your entries :-). If you want to, you can still send in entries, since we will wrap up the theme this Tuesday night.
We are hoping that Thu Huong will find a painting or two (or three :-)) in her treasure chest for the theme.
And may be my little sis will take a break from her favorite activities to write a poem for backlighting. Here are my additional entries for the theme, the first two were taken at Chatuchak Market, one of the biggest outdoor weekend market where one can find anything and everything from pets, to furniture, paintings, buddha statues, clothing, jewelry, etc....
The third one was taken at the temple near the Royal Grand Palace. I wish I could capture the sight and sound of these bells floating in the wind. 
The trees in the fourth one was also taken at the Royal Grand Palace.
The last two were taken in Cha-Am Beach near Bangkok. I had to make the biggest effort to resist the temptation to stay in bed in order to catch the sunrise for these photos :-).

Dear friends, Have you noticed how quiet it's been without Musketeerettes 1 and 3 ?  While they are cavorting on holiday, I miss them so much I just curled up and slept ...  and I am sure you are enjoying the quiet time too hihi So, my dear MOH (missing on Holiday) Twin and I decided that we will let you enjoy another couple of weeks of peace and quiet.  The 'backlighting' theme is still on, so if you haven't gotten a chance to go out there and shoot, or wanted to wax poetics (hint hint), please do. Hi all,

For me, it's one my favorite technique to shoot since I'm pretty much into "Available light photography", and especially when shooting flowers.  I'm sure the pics you see today will look familiar, because lots of the pics I submit in the past use this technique... ;-)

[MC74 and Friends] My last entry for backlight ... I promised ... :-)

Dear Em Ci Twin and friends,

I got a chance to practice some strong backlighting photos today directly into

the sun which finally came out when the fog lifted up half moon bay.

1. water fountain 

2. water fountain top ( it did feel like the sun was that strong when i pointed

the camera right at it from this side of the water fountain :-))

Backlighted beach scenes

Dear friends,

And here are some backlighted beach scenes from my favorite beach

town... I never realized until recently how the ocean (and beach

sky)  can change from one beautiful color to another within a couple

of hours, it's just amazing ...

Don't worry, I am going on vacation too as all my buddies are and

you won't get bombarded with more photos hi hi

here are my first entries for Backlighting. the first one was taken quickly when the sun came out from behind the clouds this afternoon, in between my many Sunday chores.
