Dear BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, Gen. Quang and Forum friends,
Here are my entries for books, with thanks to my twin for coming up with a theme that allows me to use existing photos from my folders, so I could submit quickly thus avoiding a reminder from Gen. Quang. Now BiTi knows why I agreed so quickly :-):
photos 1, 2 and 3 are window displays at various department stores in NYC not too long ago
photo 4 and 5 were taken in Bruxelles last year.
Goodnight and have a nice Thursday (I can't believe it is almost the end of the week)
from be^n Bo*\ So^ng

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL SHOTS ! I LOVE THE FIRST PHOTO WITH ITS BEAUTIFUL COLORS AND THE CHARMING BOOKWORM

Hello Mai Chau
ReplyDeleteQuite fantastic, a diversified set of lovely Book pictures, each as uniquely appealing as the next, charmingly snapped from different locales, New York or Bruxelles
Spellbinding and visually arresting, the colorful display of vintage, old books, mercilessly torn and ravaged with time going by, yet without their enigmatic appeal, echoes of glitter and gold still permeating throughout, a fascinating sight for the ages
In a more trendy setting, Saks Fith Avenue, under the glaring light,
an odd, strange vision of the Twin Towers emerging anew from a collection of books neatly piled up, a vivid, stark reminder of the NYC iconic image still living on, as if rising from the ashes
A fascinating way to arouse curiosity and draw in the crowd,
the life sized book display adorning the facade of Bibliotheque Royale de Belgique
Saving the best for last, with a charmingly warm, human touch,
a delightful, tender picture of the bookworm,
the cute, young lady named Mai Han, stylishly dressed in black,
attentively browsing the animated book,
her soft little hands gentled placed between the pages,
such an adorable, elegant sight beyond words
Cheers
Quang
Dear Em Ci Twin,
ReplyDeleteI love all your book entries, including the pair of boots (?) and the cute
bookworm.
BT
Hello Mai Chau
ReplyDeleteLike Bao Tram, I was wondering also about the meaning of the cute, blue boots seemingly out of place, among the collection of old, antique books
Maybe to play up the starkling contrast of colors,
vibrantly blue of boots vs fading red and gold of volumes,
or perhaps the idea of old world charm clashing,
better yet, coexisting in perfect harmony with new world trend?
MC, what do you think of the main reason for the whimsical display?
Quang
Thank you BiTwin and Tri' for your kind comments.
DeleteHi G. Quang,
I did not expect to get a tricky question from you when I submitted my photo, I only hoped to receive lyrical compliments. So let's see. How about "bag, boots = beauty and books = brain"? Or "all good things start with a B: Bags, Boots, Books, ...BiTi" :-) Which answer do you think makes the most sense? Be careful about the answer you are going to give, someone is watching you, hi hi.
Good job at nagging for entries :-). I can now retire from my job as nagger.
MC
First & Last ... :-) ... Thanks.
ReplyDeleteTri'
Hello Tri
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see we are basically on the same page :-)
Thanks Tri for your insightful input but, best of all,
your active participation and support for the PNEH cause
Still, we would love to see your Grey entry, nevertheless,
even though we have moved on to the new theme "Books"
As the saying goes
"Better Late Than Never" :-)
Cheers
Quang
