Dear BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, painters, poets, G Quang and Forum friends, Love all the entries for MOVEMENTS by other PNEHs. Here are my late entries for movements :-) MC
By slowing the speed down, you successfully show the movements in your pics, especially #2 & #5. I think the shutter speed in these 2 are around 1/10, 1/20. #3 & #4 are the reverse of panning but I like it.
Hi Tri', Thank you for your encouraging comment. You are a pro, you knew exactly the shutter speed for the photos, I am so impressed. They were 1/10 for the traffic photo taken while sitting on the tuk tuk and 1/20 for the cab photo. But just now, I had to go check on the histogram to know this, because... I cheated :-): I used auto option, and had my camera focus on the background and waited for the subject to pass by or move to press the button. In the case of the traffic/tuk tuk, I focused on the tuk tuk from inside and I think the difference of the speed of the tuk tuk and the rest of the traffic helped. I do love the panning effect, specially after seeing your beautiful photos, and will try to practice more with the traffic in front of my house, though I am a little afraid my neighbors will think I am weird :-) MC
Thank you BiTwin. I am very happy you agree with Tua^n' :-) I would like to claim that the second girl is me, but then my photo will be disqualified :-), so better telling the truth: she is MH's friend. MC
