Fw: [MC74 and Friends] my additional entry for WHEN "LIFE IMITATES ART - PNEHS RECREATE THU HUONG' S PAINTINGS"

Dear Thu Huong, BiTwin, fellow PNEHs, poets, Mai Quang and Forum friends,

I wanted to recreate Thu Huong's beautiful "coupes allonge'es", but could not find the right towel, nor could I find glasses that look similar to hers, so I hope it won't be disqualified for "hors sujet"
When I first saw Thu Huong's painting, I didn't know why but in my mind I saw the couple :-) having a picnic and lying on a checkered blanket, on the grass.
So here it is, my distorted recreation of Thu Huong's Coupes allonge'es, entitled Couple allonge'.
Sorry nhe' Thu Huong, MC se~ rang' di mua mot cai' khan trai? hinh\ carreaux va\ chup. lai. :-)

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a wonderful week ahead everyone

  1. Em Ci oi,

Your 'couple allonge'' is very romantique :-) I love how you have
them laid on the grass and the pink reflection for her vs blue for
him ... how did you do it?

Never mind may con muoi, it was all well worth, no? :-)

    Xo,
    BT

  2. BiTi Babii,
I am glad you did not reject it. I am still waiting for the verdict from Thu Huong :-)
The glasses actually are like that. I got them in Venice. I fell in love with them when I saw the glasses with the different tints (blue, green, pink and yellow), so I had to buy the small glasses for liquors (the ones in the photo) and the wine glasses (even though I don't drink), and I had to carry them in my shoulder bag the day I left for the airport for fear they would break in my luggage when I dragged it up and down the bridges!

I was eaten alive by the mosquitoes this afternoon, but you are right, it was fun, so I didn't mind lying in the grass taking pictures of the romantic couple :-).

  3. Hi MC & BT

MC's photo projects a very nice laid back mood, and BT's is more pop artsy, both beautifully shot! I'm sure TH will be enchanted with both

  4. Hello Mai Chau

"Splendor in the Grass", a less dramatic, more happier photographic
version could might have been the appropriate naming for such a wonderful recreation, a delightful remake of "couple allongee"
on a hot, steamy Summer day, under a clear, open sky

Such a romantic set up, with the colorful characters personnified,
blue tinted for man, rosy pink for woman, taking their rightful places
quite comfortably on the cushiony soft cover, seemingly apart, yet interconnected in such a subtle, intimate fashion

  5. Hello Mai Chau ,

Je suis du meme avis que Bao Tram et Mai Quang , ta photo est plus romantique et suggestive , plus ta note personnelle de fraicheur et de luminosité . Mai Chau e.o co^ ? chu*a J .
