Re: [MC74 and Friends] WHEN "LIFE IMITATES ART - PNEHS RECREATE THU HUONG' S PAINTINGS

Dear PHEHs and Friends:

Here is my ornaments photographic representation and entry as promised to MC, of TH's boules de noel, in spirit, hihi and not in colors... Easter vs. Christmas, I hope these are similar enough.

Happy Belated/Early Holidays !

  2. Hello Karl ,

    Bon weekend ,

  3. Hi KPN

I agree with all of the reviews, it's really beautiful, and close in spirit to TH's watercolor...

  5. MC, MU, Caro, BT and TH - I'm glad you like my photo entry in the "likeliness" of TH's Christmas painting in spirit ! Thx for your nice feedback and acceptance :)

To answer TH's question, yes, I intentionally bring out 2 or 3 Easter eggs, including the yellow one as the main object of interest. A long lens with wide aperture was used to create a shallow depth of field, resulting in a Bokeh effect (blurring out of whatever is closer or farther than the subject itself. Photographers do that all the time to accent some part of their photos. Hope this is not too technical and answer your question.

    Cheers,

    KPN

  6. Cher Karl ,
Merci pour ces explications precises . Si cette photo est à reproduire en peinture , une partie importante du travail est faite J . J’utilise souvent l’effet Bokeh pour peindre les natures mortes et les fleurs .
    Bonne semaine ,
